so...I never completed my secondary but I just got an email saying I was still under consideration for an interview?
"We welcome your continued interest in the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson. Your application has gone through the primary screening phase for a possible interview invitation. Our medical school is currently unable to extend an interview invitation to you, however; we have determined that you are a competitive candidate to continue to be considered at this time.

If there are changes to your status, we will communicate with you via email. Our interview season runs from September to February. You may be invited for an interview at any point during this time frame. Final notification of your interview status will be sent no later than February 26, 2016"

anybody else see anything like this? Are they wanting to interview me but want me to submit the secondary? wasn't the deadline December 11?

I also got this email today, never submitted my secondary
 
so weird! I bet it is a mistake, but I emailed anyhow to let them know I would be delighted to interview if I am still under consideration.

I live in Phoenix, as well. I just got an email about 10 minutes ago from UACOM-Phoenix (who have already rejected me) and I got so excited! Only to realize, wrong school-oops!

Lol, so same thing just happened to me... didn't expect that email from Phoenix, oh well. I guess we just have to keep on waiting...

That's interesting that they sent a post rejection email. Were you rejected pre or post interview from UA COMP? What did the email say if you don't mind my asking.

I was rejected pre-interview on the very last day they sent out pre-interview rejections. I applied in September and just got rejected like a week and half ago. They sent an email for me to set up an appointment for application feedback. It includes a survey and says you will be contacted to set up a phone advisement appointment.

edit: It also says priority will be given to instate students- which I am.

Oh, that's nice that they offer application feedback, and that they actually set up an appointment rather than simply sending a generic email about what you could have improved.

I got this email a few days ago but never submitted my secondary. My best guess is that they never opened my file and don't know that I haven't submitted my secondary. This whole process is very confusing.
 
Doesn't seem like anyone got an II today either....

So I called, but didn't really get an answer... they are unable to let us know when the next round of decisions will be released.

For those who got the pre-II hold, as per the message sent out in November and December:

"You may be invited for an interview at any point during this time frame. Final notification of your interview status will be sent no later than February 12, 2016."

Haven't heard anything new since December either.

2/9 and still nothing. That can't be good for pre-II folks like me.

Surely they would have sent interview invites by now to the applicants they wish to interview on 2/26. Alas...

pre-II hold here too! lol. I think that they would be sending out the invites up until this Friday however, I wouldn't be surprised if some continue not to hear a change of status until a few days before the 26th.
 
I called admissions because I hadn't heard back since my interview in October (other than two under review emails). I talked to Patrick and he said that I'm under review, aka the "not selected at this time, but will be looked at during other reviews" (I don't know if they stopped doing those emails or not). He also told me that they are conservative in how many acceptances they give out early, so it's still hopeful.

damn, just looked at the email and time has flown by. what a bummer that it's almost 2/12 and nothing.

Would be grateful for an interview invite at any time, but I hope it's no later than Friday for me. I got quite the schlep to make up there.
 
anyone already interviewed but still haven't received a "you are under review" email? it does say that my file is under review on the applicant portal though.

Same, I interviewed at the end of January. My impression was that the email others have posted translates to "we met recently and reviewed you, you weren't selected this round but you will be reviewed again at future meetings, this is not a rejection, just a status update that we have looked at you, you weren't forgotten, but not selected you yet". I wasn't under the impression that they sent a neutral "we are now reviewing you" email. So I'm viewing lack of communication post-interview as a good thing. I'm betting they just haven't reviewed our groups yet. When I interviewed they let us know that they still needed to review two previous groups of interviewees.
 
yeah, they told my group the same thing. i'm just getting impatient haha. what day did you interview? i interviewed on the 23rd.

I interviewed in November and have only received a neutral "we are now reviewing you" email. In past years, they sent out the "we met recently, but you were not selected this round" more frequently. It seems like they have changed how they communicate post interview this year.
 
Congrats to those accepted!

I am curious to know if anyone from earlier interview dates (before January) was accepted today, or if people from October/November/December will only hear back in March at this point. I wish there was someone from the school who could give a little more insight!

Seriously! I was October but yeah I think you are right...maybe we are in a different pile and won't get anything until March 🙁 sad day.
