2015-2016 University of Kansas Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yeah several of us in the class of 2019 have wandered in to welcome and be available to answer questions, try and get to recognize faces when y'all get here, etc... Good luck everyone, I know this wait is killer!

From experience applying last year, did a lot of students that were placed on hold from October throughout the interview season get accepted in mid-March?

Im thinking they have a meeting today, send them tomorrow, and get to us Thursday or Friday. I know it was mentioned before, but what is the initial accept/hold/reject ratio this late in the cycle?

What are others plans if they don't get accepted to KU?

My guess is that about 10 are already upperclassmen and are social chairs to the incoming applicants to organize some happy hours and answer questions. That's my guess. At least, that's what they do with my fiancé in dental school.

You are correct. 9 of us are in the group.

It seemed like we got a big influx of people in our class' Facebook group about the end of February to mid-March time period.

does anyone who interviewed in late January remember if they said they would be sending out accept/hold/reject letters for us at some point in the next ~2-3 weeks or will we just be waiting for final decisions in mid March? everything seems a little unclear since they ended interviews a couple of weeks earlier than normal this year
I'm fairly certain they told us the first week in March, but, as stated earlier, the process seems quite flexible.

It's easier to check this than to go outside to check the mail lol. And warmer

My mail doesn't get here until around 3 o'clock. What about you guys and gals? Jeez, I'm getting desperate!

When does your mail get there though? You could help ALL of us out if yours has already been delivered and you could tell us 🙂
(WOW I'M SO DESPERATE)
Mine isn't until around 3-4pm, unfortunately

It's so quite today.......is everyone sitting at the front door watching their mailbox like I am? Cause let's be real if I don't get a letter today I'm gonna have a complete mental breakdown

Very much agree with this whole post!

Reject, accept, hold...I just need something!!

I completely agree.... At this point I'm so ready and yet the stress of it is making me so tired and I've kinda given up that it'll ever come. But at the same time, it better come today or else I'll cry.
Depending on the news I'll still probably cry.....y'all ain't never seen a grown man cry but if I get in, I'll be bawling like a baby lol

Where do you all live that are waiting? I'm KC area. Just trying to gauge the mail delivery day..

College Station, TX but I don't know if it's coming here or going to my parents house in Wichita

OK guys, I just talked to admissions.. They out the letters for those who interviewed the first week of January in the mail around 10 o'clock this morning! So if you don't have your letter in 3 days, it's time to start yelling at the postal service!

Agggggghhhhhh I have to wait till Monday? I'm going to go insane!!!

Is tomorrow a possibility?
Maybe.. If the letters actually got picked up today and you live in the Kansas City area... She wasn't sure if they would actually go out today or not but 10 am is relatively early so my fingers are crossed!

No......I hope that doesn't mean I was rejected -_-
