From reading old threads, there is a pattern-- almost every time students get their acceptance/rejected letters on fridays. Soonest i have read is 4 weeks after interview day but that obviously varies greatly.
 
Oh nice. I thought they do mail deliveries though? How do they make sure everyone gets it on the same day?

I interviewed the same day. Hopefully I'll have something in the mail when I get home today!
 
Hi guys, I am interviewing here soon and noticed that there was a 'small group session' during the interview day. Anyone know what this is? Are the interviews one-on-one or in a group?

They are two on one interviews. At least mine was. I really enjoyed it a lot. It was laid back and you could tell that they really were just trying to get to know you and see if you are a fit for their school.

My interview was one-on-one. Very comfortable. The only thing we did in small groups was take a tour.
 
Yeah...I would really like it if I didn't have to pay $1000 on December 15th. Please get back to me!!!

pretty high fee, where did you get accepted?

So I am super anxious ....So I decided to call and the lady said that their next review meeting is in a few weeks, blah! I guess all of us who haven't heard anything did not made the cut in Nov's review meeting. Bummer! :dead:
 
Well it doesn't sound like anybody has heard back really, so did they even have a November review meeting?

This is frustrating. I just want one acceptance. Pleaseeeeee.

Bummer...but I am sure they are busy. Hopefully, we all hear back before the break!

Does anyone know how to update the admissions committee about something? I had a paper published recently and wasn't sure how to let them know about the publication, I remember in the info session they told us we could update the committee if we wanted.

I just emailed the admission office. You could send an AMCAS update letter from your PI as well, but I think it would be easier to just email UNMC.
 
Did everyone send "thank you"s to their interviewers? I cant remember what they said about what address to send them to.

I sent mine to the address below with attn. xyz. A few weeks late though.

Oh... Good thing I haven't been waiting in my living room for the mail to come for the last ~5 hours or so...
 
I will. I've seen 3 mail trucks drive by so far but none of them have stopped on our street. I may have a problem.

I think they send it via US Postal...But judging from threads from the past few cycles, the first wave of decisions seem to come out the week before Christmas.

Yeah, mailguy just stopped by. Nothing. Oh well. It's weird how Rush can get back to me within 2.5 weeks, and UNMC takes this long...

Accepted today! I am so excited this was my first choice! Can't wait to join others in the Class of 2020. Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear back!

Hey, me too! IS, but I currently live in MD, so I'll probably have to wait a little bit longer for news 🙁
 
Woah nelly! This just made my next few days a lot more intense. Hoping for some mail!!
 
I'm on winter break and so I can't access mail to my preferred mailing address! Do you think I could call in and ask if I've received a decision?
