Is uthscsa pre match or match heavy?

I'm pretty sure they are half and half. If anything they are a little more match heavy. There aren't nearly as many people getting pre matches at UTHSCSA vs A&M, UTSW, and UTMB.

I don't think it's a big deal. Your interviewers might think it's strange if you mail them thank you cards after you've already emailed them. Also, unless you interviewed last week, it might be kind if late to send them. I don't think it's likely to affect your standing.

They plan on sending out more scholarships before the preference rank on Jan 21st. But even if you don't get a scholarship then, UTHSCSA has multiple scholarship opportunities that open up in April. A list of the scholarships can be found on their website.

For the sake of those wondering about movement and stats, IS II today. Dates available 1/4 and 1/11. LizzyM ~68, extremely MCAT heavy. Also previously rejected MD/PhD on 8 December, strong clinical research background, weak-ish basic sciences research background.

On their main admissions page, they've said it from the beginning that their last interview date is Jan 11th. I'm hoping for a last minute II from here as well lol.

I would email them. It took them about three weeks and I had to send a couple emails first.

I called admissions today and they told me there are still OOS seats available and confirmed that they are offered on a rolling basis. Also, I asked if they are open to receiving letters of intent and they said 'no.'

Welp, after resigning myself to impatiently wait for the match process, I randomly checked TMDSAS this morning and saw an option to reject my pre-match offer from UTHSCSA, meaning I had an offer to accept! For some reason I never received the email that was supposedly sent on December 21st. Check the interview invite portal for offers of acceptance, too.

They sent out an email with the complete agenda detailed in it today. The main event concludes at 9:25 pm, however the guided tour ends at 5:30 pm. I'm sure you are free to leave at will for other commitments throughout the day though. Hope that helps!
