I wish they would just post a date... Even if it was later than "mid February" it would be so so nice to not be wondering when the other shoe is going to drop.

Yeah, so part of me is thinking about how much it sucks not knowing when. But at the same time, I remember things like... giving birth. You have a ball park date but you REALLY don't know when, and when it happens holy cow your life is over. So really, I guess I'm okay with the "mid February thing". Will probably go look for a hobby to keep my mind off of it.

At the risk of being slightly cynical, I wonder if they are waiting a day or two until they are able to see where else people are holding acceptances before they offer merit packages. Or did any of these new calls include merit offers?

(My understanding is that the Multiple Acceptance Report is updated once per business day.)

braver than i was! he waited til the very, very end to mention it.
 
I'm going to keep the faith for a few more days and think that 5 people is low for sdn to report acceptances and that maybe they really are going to continue with the rest Monday and just got a head start.... Wouldn't be the first time calls went out for more than one day, and or favorite M1 did say he heard it was early next week....

Earlier today I confirmed with admissions that calls will be going out tomorrow. Things are far from over at our end!
EDIT: I just received word that calls are primarily going to students who already have offers, but a few new offers may be made. My apologies for this; I didn't want to promise anything that couldn't be delivered. Hang in there everyone!

thanks for the communication channel. Could you clarify what you mean? why call students with offers?

Would you mind elaborating on this? Not quite sure I understand...?
 
Every year Vandy Med calls already-accepted applicants as another gesture to make them feel welcome, and also to encourage them to attend second look weekend. The intel I received made it seem as if tomorrow's phone calls were for new acceptances. Again, I shoulder the blame for the misdirection and apologize for any confusion/distress y'all may have.

FWIW, they added people to the FB group tonight. Including current students, there are only 131 people in the group. That leaves easily 100+ more people.
 
Got the call Friday - accepted with a scholarship! I'm not entirely sure of what I said on the phone, but I'm confident that it in my shock and excitement it was utterly nonsensical. I still can't believe it.

Good luck to everyone! Hopefully there will be some more good news today.

I am certainly feeling the agony. It's painful to have so little information, and I don't totally understand why they don't send an update on what the plan is.

That couldn't be more vague-- is it still me being hopeful or does that response still leave the chance of being notified of acceptances and not just WL/rejections by Friday...

They have no way of knowing where you've been accepted until after March 15 as far as I know. If they accept you, only then can they see where else you hold acceptances before that date.
