Does anyone have information on parking costs for the school?

There are a couple parking lots available for rent around the medical school. One of the parking structure is covered and costs ~$90/month. Two other uncovered parking lots cost around $50/month. There are also limited paid street parking available on a 1st come 1st basis.

The school also has an uncovered parking lot about 2 blocks away that costs $30/month.

no. also i don't know who was discussing Macs but you definitely need a Macbook. You actually don't need the most expensive one. Just one with an HDMI input, unless you want to be 'that guy' in your TBL group who can never broadcast 🙂

No one ever broadcasts lol, and as you go towards end of 2nd year, even the faculties forget about that function

Fair. Either way, students need a macbook, and having the HDMI input is nice. Whatever works I guess.

8Gb RAM should be fine.
You will need more storage maybe.. or a portable hard drive. Materials for each course can be a few Gb. So you may have over 50Gb of school stuff after M1.

Everyone does it through Inkling. The admin has not been receptive to individual purchasing.

just curious, what equipment is in the fitness room in the medical school? I remember seeing a dumbbell rack and a couple cardio machines during my interview. Has anything else been added?

There are two racks of dumbbells. One up to 25 and one up to 50. A multi station weightlifting machine that's pretty run of the mill. An elliptical, two treadmills and a stationary bike. 2 benches (no other weights over them or anything🙁 )

There's also a set of lighter medicine balls in the dance studio and an MMA bag. And some jump ropes and stability balls.

And a pull up bar station.

That's it 🙂

Thanks for the info! Is there any way the school will add a power rack or bench press if enough students request one? A cheap rack is only around $300. I feel like getting one would be unlikely though, but still wondering.

We tried and it got denied on grounds of not enough space in the gym (if I remember correctly). I got cheap membership at an outside gym, which is definitely worth it.

My understanding is the denial came because the rack might be $300 but weights are more, plus safety, or whatever 🙂 I really do wish we had a power rack though. You can do a surprising amount with dumbbells, unless you're like wicked yolked.

Oh I forgot to mention previously there are Kettle bells up to 30 lbs
