Has anyone heard if they are still planning to review a few apps prior to Christmas? I heard they had to open more interview dates in December as people we submitting so late this year. I wonder if that eliminated the possibility of meetings of the committee to do reviews.

I don't know why they wouldn't still hold the planned meetings.

My thought being that having all interviews prior to year-end is their priority so maybe in lieu of the review meeting they used that date for one of the new interview dates.

Interviewed September 30th (their first non-EDP interview date), and they said the most likely time is early January, and they put an emphasis on saying the majority of people will not even hear back then. Personally, I'm not putting much stock in hearing back before February.

Does anyone know if we are encouraged to send in our fall semester grades if we had an interview here? If so, how are you going about this? Thanks in advance!

Any day now we start being like:
"Good morning, Sir Postmaster , hast thou a grand parcel addressed to thine humble Flapjack3d?"

Seriously, is this like the middle ages, or what? Why are snail mail decisions still a thing?

This is a great, up and coming school otherwise. Good luck, everyone!

It's started!! When was the letter postmarked? Do you live in the midwest? also stats/LizzyM?
I'm not sure of the post mark date, haven't seen the envelope, just had it read to me over the phone. South Dakota. MCAT 513, GPA 4.0, and also a Goldwater Scholar.

How do you feel about the research opps at unmc? is that important to you?

Tough for me to tell on the research opportunities. I prefer to get my information straight from the professors themselves on such matters, but I haven't really had the opportunity to talk to one. It's very important to me, however. Will look to learn more in the future.

Does anyone know the day of the week the committee typically meets? Or how often?

they said they will meet regularly starting after christmas. Not sure if that means they also release decisions regularly.

For those of you who have heard back, did the application status in the secondary portal change from 'submitted' to their decision?

I called in about a week ago and asked when they would be meeting and the lady said they meet on a daily basis now and send letters out multiple times a week. She also said they go mostly in order of interview date. As a late November interviewee she said I'd be in the next couple weeks.

To everyone who was accepted, what were your stats like? To everyone thats still waiting for a decision, what was your interview date?

interviewed in octover. Accepted mid december. lm >80

Lindsay said they only meet once a week still and will continue to accept students till march 15. She also said they do NOT go in order of interview date. It's a random process.

I interviewed in December and know that my application has been reviewed based on email responses I've received. They just haven't made a final decision on me yet.

How were you able to ask them that? They always just tell me "there hasn't been a final decision on your file yet". Anytime I ask further questions they easily shut me down and say they can't say anything more. Who was able to give you more information about that?

I was never given specific information and I know they are very careful with the way they respond to application inquiries. I was also told that a final decision wasn't made on my application yet. When I asked if that meant I was already reviewed I was told that since they can't release any date information, they couldn't tell me anything else. I am just commenting on my personal experience and the impression I got from the responses I received. I also noticed that my letters of rec were pulled from AMCAS pretty quickly after my interview. I know other people that interviewed way before I did and their letter status is still waiting. I don't know if that means anything or not.
