Was offered a PSTP interview today - hopefully this means they plan to accept me off the first tier WL!
I was just accepted of the first tier wait list!!!! AHHHHH I'M SO EXCITED!

I graduated two years ago (took some time off to work and travel), but I just got in today. I was always told that Pitt hated their undergrad students so I was always worried. Apparently, that was just a scare tactic haha.

Does anyone know if Pitt normally has waves of waitlist acceptances?
I wanted to write a LOI to Pitt since it's one of my top choices but I wasn't sure if I should since I'm still waiting to hear back from 2 other schools in mid-March!!

This is purely speculation but my guess would be that the bulk of the waitlist movement will occur after April 30. Might be completely wrong though.
looking at past threads, last year there was movement at the beginning March and then again toward the third week of March and the second week of May. My guess is 1 or 2 more waves.

Can someone refresh my memory: Is Pitt P/F or HP/P/F? For some reason I cannot remember for the life of me.....
I am pretty confident it is P/F for year 1 and 2.
Ok that's what I thought but I couldn't find any info on it online. I would definitely prefer that over a HP/P/F system....
