Is it too late to submit a secondary here? i'm OOS

Definitely not too late but If you're going to do it, do it fast. Somebody I know was complete at USF in early October, II a few days later but all interview days full until January at which point the class was full and they could only put OOS on waitlist. This was a couple years ago though.

Your stats look great. The only thing that MIGHT be of concern is your service to the community. It's pretty low but considering the rest of your application, you should be alright.

I think what might be a bigger flag than community service for the CORE program is whether or not your are IS or OOS. CORE is predominantly instate from my understanding and from what I heard talking to the students at my interview. SELECT tends to be more OOS.

Note: I am an IS USF student and my community service hours were spread out over the course of semesters with scheduled dates every week.

You will likely hear back. You've only been complete for a month so have some patience. I've been complete since late August and still haven't heard anything. It is still very early in the game.

Can anyone who's had an interview here already or any students speak on what the virtual experience is? I noticed it on the schedule after the interview. Is it like an MMI type thing?

Apply for Harvard! haha you killed it!

Hey guys, are they any current medical students who got to USF that would be able to give me some insight on how explained #5 of the prompt? I don't want to sound like I'm giving excuses so. If you could help, that would be great!

"If you have experienced academic difficulties, please explain the situation and how it was resolved. (Please explain all grades less than a "B" (including B-) or any "withdrawal" on your transcripts)."

Be honest about your experience, but be sure to include a positive spin like what you learned. Make that the focus not the fact that you had academic difficulty. Also try not to make your answer sound like you are making excuses. Own it and move on and I guarantee you that they will too!

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Current student here, yes, like DrDopeShorts says, just be honest and don't make excuses. I don't remember exaclty what I put down, but do put it positive (I learned to study better/manage time/get help etc.). I had a few Cs to explain, but demonstrated resiliency too and moving past it/growing from the experience. Hope this helps.

For anyone who has received an interview invitation, when were your applications complete?

Does the date ever change on the application last viewed?

When is the first day for admissions decisions to go out? IIRC it's sometime in early October, but I can't remember.

I had a CORE interview this week, it was open-file (including grades/scores, I think). Ended up being the most conversational interviews I've had so far.

When were you complete?

Here's to waiting anxiously for an interview! Good luck to you all!

Has USF sent out an post-secondary rejections?

any way one can send in application updates post secondary?

is anyone else still working on the secondary? i'm not sure why its taken me so long to finish ahhhh

Important question: How is the food on Interview Day?:laugh::laugh:

I found it to be about on a par with the other places I've interviewed. Snacks were better than average, sandwiches were slightly worse. So far FAU has had the best lunch, but I haven't been to all that many schools.
