Your stats look great. The only thing that MIGHT be of concern is your service to the community. It's pretty low but considering the rest of your application, you should be alright.
I think what might be a bigger flag than community service for the CORE program is whether or not your are IS or OOS. CORE is predominantly instate from my understanding and from what I heard talking to the students at my interview. SELECT tends to be more OOS.
You will likely hear back. You've only been complete for a month so have some patience. I've been complete since late August and still haven't heard anything. It is still very early in the game.Hi,

Hey guys, are they any current medical students who got to USF that would be able to give me some insight on how explained #5 of the prompt? I don't want to sound like I'm giving excuses so. If you could help, that would be great!
"If you have experienced academic difficulties, please explain the situation and how it was resolved. (Please explain all grades less than a "B" (including B-) or any "withdrawal" on your transcripts)."

Current student here, yes, like DrDopeShorts says, just be honest and don't make excuses. I don't remember exaclty what I put down, but do put it positive (I learned to study better/manage time/get help etc.). I had a few Cs to explain, but demonstrated resiliency too and moving past it/growing from the experience. Hope this helps.Be honest about your experience, but be sure to include a positive spin like what you learned. Make that the focus not the fact that you had academic difficulty. Also try not to make your answer sound like you are making excuses. Own it and move on and I guarantee you that they will too!
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
Same, (if we're assuming it say's 'last viewed' somewhere). 🙁They still haven't even looked at my app and i submitted it 6 weeks ago
Does the date ever change on the application last viewed?
Same.... 🙁
When is the first day for admissions decisions to go out? IIRC it's sometime in early October, but I can't remember.
My friend got his ED acceptance call last weekWhen is the first day for admissions decisions to go out? IIRC it's sometime in early October, but I can't remember.
Interviewed for SELECT recently. Great day, SUPER low stress interview. Definitely nothing to sweat or prepare for, just know yourself and your app.
So is the interview open file?
according to MSAR, and my experience, the SELECT interviews are closed file. CORE is open file I believe.
I had a CORE interview this week, it was open-file (including grades/scores, I think). Ended up being the most conversational interviews I've had so far.
When were you complete?
any way one can send in application updates post secondary?
Same question as this guy, does USF accept updates post-secondary?
Important question: How is the food on Interview Day?![]()
