Yeah haha, I understand. It is hectic as hell. But this one is supposedly a very unique and difficult prompt every year. It is not one you can finish right away. So personally, I would like to have everything set aside and done.

Agreed! I guess there shouldn't be *too many* secondaries left for anyone.

I need to channel my inner positive vibes - We're in the home stretch (for secondaries)! lol

They just sent me the secondary email too... SIXTEEN TIMES!! My phone was going nuts at work haha. Guess this means they like me huh?
 
I also got the email 16 times. Ugh.

Do I have to fill out all 22 essays? If I don't fill out all of them is the ADCOM going to hate me and reject me? Can they track how many of the emails I actually read? What if they see I deleted 21 of them without reading them? Does the number of emails correlate to how much they like my app?

Also, does VCU not take AP credits?! It says it has to be on a college transcript...which I mean my AP's are listed there so...
 
Anyone not get the email/secondary? 🙁

I'm a Canadian, so maybe they've screened me on that basis? But my stats are MCAT: 517, GPA: 3.95...

If they are listed on your transcript why do you think they won't accept them?
I'm asking because I have about a whole semester's worth.
 
Just got 4 more emails just in case they weren't clear before
 
I stopped getting the emails once I actually logged into the system. Might help?
 
Anyone know if they waive their secondary fee if you were granted a waiver through AMCAS/FAP?
 
Yeah well don't get used to it...after you submit it's like radio silence. The portal doesn't even let you check the status of anything and no confirmation emails...oh VCU what in the world?

I mean I had to put them because I only took Stats in college and that's not a full year at my school so my Calc credits had to be listed. So I guess I don't have an opinion either way on whether they'll accept them. I called admissions and specifically asked if they take AP's and she just said we take college transcript classes. And that was that. Honestly she seemed either a little bugged I asked or also didn't know.

Lmfaaaooooo. Yeah that seems like a bit of a salty answer. But hell there is nothing that says they don't accept them and I need them to count. Mine are on my transcript so

That was a common problem last year. I guess they are making up for it this time by sending everyone 20+ secondaries.
 
secondary received this morning! it's weird that they don't notify you by email if you got one... i checked the portal this morning and found that the secondary was right there...
 
No email......the hell VCU. Not sure if I want all 102 emails but 1 would be nice
 
I only received 10... I feel so unloved.

Can anyone comment on Inova versus MCV for years 3-4? It sounds like this is a pretty firm commitment at this point, so some insider perspective would be helpful. 🙂

What do you mean you checked the portal? I haven't gotten an email about any portal either. Zero emails from VCU about anything despite submitting and being verified on 6/7.
 
I really hope they don't send apology emails lol.

For some reason, the portal doesn't work for me right now.
 
Just called admissions. They had to "shut the system down" to work on the glitch. I was told hey are sending them out in waves and not to worry at this point if you haven't received an invite to the secondary.
 
16 emails in the span of 5 minutes. I guess, I am one of those high priority applicants that they thought might not get their first email, and just to make sure they sent it 15 more times.
 
We are able to use as any resource we wish... do you think we should incorporate the source into our responses?
 
I just got 68 emails saying they received my preliminary AMCAS app

Can anyone tell me more about the fmSTAT track? Is it worth it? I know that I have to make the commitment to follow through on all of the requirements and go into to family medicine; however, what if I change my mind?
 
Just got 106 emails confirming receipt of my application :uhno:

Secondary received with 65 application confirmation emails! However, the email they sent me didn't mention me actually getting a secondary. Only learned that I received one after I logged into the portal. Also kudos to whomever designed the portal, definitely the best looking one I've seen yet.
