Hi everyone!

Congrats to those who have been accepted and don't be discouraged for those who have not been accepted yet!

I am an M1 at VCU SoM and I am one of the class of 2029's officers. If you have been accepted and intend on attending, we have created an "un"official Facebook page and the official VCU Class of 2030 GroupMe. Again, if you have been accepted and are intending on attending, please email a screenshot of the acceptance letter (or forward it directly) to this email: [email protected].

You will need to be verified before you will be admitted to the group pages! Also, be patient with acceptances to these groups as we do have busy schedules!

has anyone that has been accepted received link to Admissions Orientation webpage? I was looking at financial aid information and Q&A mentioned we should get access to that after deposit, but I have not received any communication from VCU after paying.
 
i never got a link, but I just followed the directions from the presentation on interview day which as far as I know were to complete the FAFSA and CSS profile
 
I had my interview yesterday, and I want to send a letter of interest. The information session said to only send updates on grades so now I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I was really nervous for my interview here, but I ended up really enjoying it. Of all my interviews, it was the most organized, well-run, and everyone was so friendly. It can feel hard to connect in MMIs because you are speaking to someone who doesn't know anything about you, so when you are forming your answers, try to draw from previous experiences in ECs/Jobs and life experiences to insert some personalization to your answers, and help them to get an idea of what you've done and who you are. I think it really helps! Good luck!
 
Anyone know If the next offer date is tomorrow or the 3rd? I believe I remember in the info session that the dates were Feb 2nd and March 16th, however on the portal under the admissions timeline tab it shows Feb 3rd and March 17th.

On the official website it says Feb 1st. Since that’s a Sunday, I would expect it to be tomorrow.
 
Does everyone get the hold status on the admissions portal as of now? Says something like on hold after committee meaning for potential offer in the future. Or does this mean deferred until March?

When I was deferred on 12/16, I got another hold email on 12/17 and no communication on 12/16. If this is your first hold email, it probably means you could still get accepted later today.

Everyone gets the hold status prior to the decision. You could still get accepted today. If acceptances are released today and you don't hear anything, you might get an email tomorrow saying you're still on hold (hence, pushed until the March date).

I never got a hold status. Also is today decision release day or tomorrow??

+1 OOS A just now too! I applied MSTP but got the email just about the medical school. Does anyone have any insight on that?
