Yep, it was 9 degrees in my neck of the woods yesterday.
Congratulations!
Fellow 1/26er here, I was thinking we had another week before decisions came out. Now waiting anxiously refreshing my email.

Me either. I find it kinda odd that only one person reported anything though.
Agreed. Not sure if I should be patient or send an email to Jaime. I don't want to be too aggressive but technically they told us "2-3 week turnaround".
Does anyone know how many interviews have taken place since 1/26?
Id wait. I havent seen anyone from 1/19 with a decision yet.Agreed. Not sure if I should be patient or send an email to Jaime. I don't want to be too aggressive but technically they told us "2-3 week turnaround".

The secondary deadline is not until Feb 28, so at least theoretically they're not done sending IIs.Are they not giving any more II or what

Hey guys! So I was browsing the Nova MD website today, and I think I found a pretty big update regarding the scholarships! I don't remember ever seeing this on the "scholarships" page, so I think it's a pretty new update.
Medical School Scholarships and Financial Aid | NSU M.D. College
4 specific scholarships are specifically noted now on the above web page:
Current-Use Scholarships
Health Professions Division Chancellor’s Scholarships
Award Criteria: Full and/or partial scholarship awarded to in-state NSU MD students
Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD) Fund
Award Criteria: NSU MD 2018 charter class and beyond
Lachman Family Foundation Scholarship Fund
Award Criteria: NSU MD 2018 charter class
Brandon, Ariel and Rachel Friedman Changing Lives Scholarship
Award Criteria: NSU MD students who demonstrate financial need, FAFSA required for current aid year
Looks like us charter students may get some good news soon!
Philanthropic Summary
#2 on the list says:
"$25 million gift
The cost to give a full ride for all four years for 50 is ~10 million. Soooo....
- Named NSU’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine with an endowed fund for college and student scholarship support"
Congrats! When did you interview?Accepted this week also. Very happy, excited and relieved. Good luck to everyone else still waiting for a decision.

At my interview they said they would let us know before 4/30 about scholarships. Maybe they'll announce it at 2nd look? They need to make an announcement soon...I need to be able to stop looking for a residence in 4 different places (So many Zillow emails...I cant...but must find perfect condo...ugh)
At my interview they said they would let us know before 4/30 about scholarships. Maybe they'll announce it at 2nd look?
Yes, one of the deans (I think she was a dean), i forget her name said ideally they'd like to offer the entire class scholarships but that they have fundraising goals to meet first (this was before the Patel endowment). They said the only requirement for consideration was that you had your fafsa submitted. Someone asked when they would know and Dean Prichett said early spring, then someone else asked if they would have that info by 4/30 and he said yes, before then. UCF and FIU offered their charter classs full rides when they both opened. UNLV did the same last year. So it's becoming an expected thing I think. Have you gotten anything official about the deposit yet? I don't think it'll be much, maybe $150? So even if it's a full ride, i don't know what the deposit would go toward, the ipad they plan on giving everyone maybe? So, at your interview they discussed the possibility of full tuition scholarships? Personally, I think that it would suck if they waited until 2nd look to announce...that leaves like a week to make (possibly) the most important decision of your life (and, as an aside...why announce a deposit if everyone is getting a full ride, that makes no sense whatsoever).

Wait, now I'm a bit confused because my email from them says the following:
"Also, we will begin the scholarship review process before the end of February and notify recipients of awards in mid-March. Just to reiterate, all accepted candidates are automatically queued for scholarship review after notifying us of their intent to attend. Thus, if you have yet to submit your letter of intent and do plan on attending NSU MD in the fall, please remit the form to the Office of Admissions as soon as possible. "
Are we talking about something different?
Is this in your acceptance email? I don’t see anything about scholarships/financial aid mentioned in the email I got
Mine doesn't mention scholarships either...Is this in your acceptance email? I don’t see anything about scholarships/financial aid mentioned in the email I got
That part was not in my acceptance email. I interviewed 1/12. When were you accepted?Wait, now I'm a bit confused because my email from them says the following:

Ah, okay. I haven't gotten a follow-up since my acceptance on 2/15. So that'll probably come next week then. Thanks!I interviewed 1-5 accepted 2-7. I did not have that info in my acceptance email but I received a follow up email 2 weeks later (so they did properly follow their own suggested 2-3 week time frame that time) with the same information
But it kind of seems like we're talking about the same thing right? The timelines in your email match what they said at my interview.Wait, now I'm a bit confused because my email from them says the following:

Has anyone been accepted off of the waitlist yet?
