Just a heads up for next cycle(s), I talked to an adcom at nova md a few months ago and they are considering adding CASPer for future cycles. Doesn’t really help out this cycle.

What're your stats?Rejected pre-II.
The e-mail said they only had 1200 completed applications, and offer 300-400 interview slots. So there's a realllyyy good chance you can get an interview from this school.
I just wonder, "how bad were my secondaries if I wasn't given an interview here, even with all those slots". I feel like I definitely had the research part down and ECs. Meh.
Good luck everyone!
Hmm. Sorry to hear that. I’m still in limbo. Meh.They were pretty good. On par with a couple of ones I saw in this thread for interviewed and accepted.
I had the same issue. I emailed Jamie and she was super helpful and got back to me with several available dates. Not sure how many are still available though...Anyone have any opportunity to change their interview date? I just received one but it doesn't work well with my schedule at all. Really want to interview here...

I would say most likely yes. I think most of us are already interviewing for the waitlist since they are accepting only 50 people initially.Just sent her an email. Hopefully she will get back to me soon.
Also, does anyone know how many people have been accepted from any recent interviews? Would many of us just interviewing for the waitlist now?
People relax. The class is still far from full. Pump the brakes on the "I'm interviewing for the waitlist" talk. If you are interviewing then your chance is as good as everyone else!
Best of luck at your upcoming interviews!
Low sress. Be yourself. Eat the food.I like this guy. Thanks!
Going off that, those who've interviewed, any recommended resources to prep? Was the interview pretty high stress? Just curious to see how I should prepare

We didn’t get those but lunch was a taco bar. Very stressful in our suits!
Those are the numbers people got in their rejection letter. I wouldn't worry about it, just go in there and do you. You could very well be one of those 50!I got an II here a while back but going through this thread I'm not sure how to feel as 300-400 interviewing for 50 spots seems kinda rough. Is this info confirmed? About to interview so im wondering now. Very thankful for the invite though because I love the school

I know that SDN is not representative of everyone, but based off the responses for thoe accepted on SDN and the likelihood of full or at least significant scholarships, I'm starting to think they won't have to accept that many over 50 studentsAnd to expand on my buddy here, this acceptance to interview rate is pretty standard considering that Nova will probably end up giving 120 to 150 acceptances when everything shakes out through the whole cycle.
In other words, don’t sweat it for a minute.

People keep saying this in this thread, but y’all are out of your gourd. There are very, very few medical schools that have an acceptance:matriculation over 50%.
Lets say 20 of the original 50 matriculate. Does it make sense that they will need to cycle through 70-100 people on the waitlist to fill those 30 seats? Also, even from the accepted pool, a lot of students may opt to go to more established programs, or their in state schools that offer them better financial aid.

Yes. You know things change as people get off waitlist at their favorite programs, yeah?
(Last comment on this neuroticism. Chill, folks. If it happens, it happens.)
understand that this is very easy for you to say now that you have been accepted. telling people to chill helps no one lol
The numbers are the numbers. I offer them because I too have gone through this cycle of neuroticism (twice) and it helped me break out of it when people used hard data to calibrate perspective.
The number are highly consistent, but they say nothing to context, so it’s useless to use contextualized hypotheticals.
right... but then you passive aggressively attack at the end. showing the numbers is enough to get the point across
it seems like at least two people heard back and were accepted last week. i'm with you still waiting, im thinking we will hear back this week, hopefully not just waitlist.Does anyone from the 1/26 interview group know when we're going to hear back?
When did you interview?Waitlisted today. Found the email in spam
Also found a waitlisted email in my spam - 1/26 group. By the looks of the email, I guess they're going to be pulling waitlisted people off this month.
The wait list email that I received at the end of January stated that they were going to start selecting waitlist candidates on a rolling basis between March and June. Are you basing it off that?
