Any recent interviews, I completed my Casper on the 19th of November

Those who are accepted… have you guys gotten any physical mail or immunization forms yet?

No, and I wouldn't expect anything until late December based on when somebody said the next committee meeting is.

Sooooo... I am not from Illinois so I don't know which to choose between the Peoria or Rockford campuses.
Anyone want to enlightening me on which they would choose and why?

Peoria has a newer simulation center that is supposed to be top of the line. Both seem to have a level 1 trauma center. Rockford has the rural health program and is closer to Chicago. Not sure on class size, but they can't be that too far apart.

Peoria also has a rural health program (in fact 2). One is the 28 week preceptorship during clinicals and the IGRMED is global & rural medicine which is why I picked it. Also, I think only Peoria has the L1 trauma center at the children's hospital as well.
Anyone get an email asking them to re-rank their campus preferences due to the school not providing all of them initially?
Yeah, and what's funny is I logged on there this morning to see if they had given me a campus assignment yet and it looked like I had never picked a campus again, so I thought maybe it didn't go through the first time and panicked until I saw that email.

Does anyone know how full each campus is? I would strongly prefer the Chicago campus since I have immediate family in the city but im sure that its most peoples' 1st choice as well. Im interviewing at the Chicago campus on 2 days... Would it be inappropriate to ask someone this question? Also any general tips for the interview? I've got the standard questions down and read up on some ethics. Just gonna review my application tonight. Any other advice?

YES! I think I'm finally getting their emails, so I'm excited about this, haha.

I'm from the suburbs just outside Chicago so that was my first choice as well even though I had to interview in Peoria. I'm sure each interview is different but mine was fairly casual and I was definitely able to slip in why I wanted Chicago over Peoria and they were receptive to that, although I didn't rule out the other options and made a case for Peoria as well.

Is this only for people who have been accepted/interviewed?

I was having issues from day 1. I never got an email for my interview or anything, only on the portal. But yes, that particular email was for accepted students.

Congrats!!! If you don't mind stating, do you know what your portal status was before the invite?
Was your application has been forwarded screening committee until about a week or two ago. Then changed to your application is under review by the screening committee.
Portal changed today to We look forward to meeting you etc followed by email. Hope this helped!

Also had the same portal changes^^

I know I wrote this down somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. I know UIC switched to a pass/fail system, but does anyone know if it is truly unranked pass/fail (i.e. no internal ranking into thirds, quartiles, etc.)?

I believe that it is Pass/Fail and unranked. At least that is what I have in my notes.

Does anyone have a clue when the campus assignments will be given out? I'm nervous about it because I have had my acceptance for months now, which I was happy about because preferences for campus are first come first serve. Then in December they just made us re-send the campus rank. I'm worried they are not going to give priority to the campus we want since it's so far after the fact now... Anyone been in contact with Leila/office of admissions at all?

I’ve been “your application is under consideration by the screening committee” for 2 months now. Has anyone had this status and gotten an II? I’m IS

I had that status for two months and got an interview and was accepted. If mine ever changed away from "forwarded to" to anything else, it wasn't for more than 24 hours. I'm fairly certain mine went straight from "forwarded to" to interview.

So it was always “forwarded to” and not “under consideration”?

fairly certain, it was definitely forwarded to up until very soon before my interview. perhaps in the day or two before it may have said something else. that being said, i had a very early interview and first wave of acceptances so maybe they just didn't look at my application for that long

Out of curiosity, if anyone knows, how does this school view re-applicants, particularly those who have interviewed here?

Did the committee end up meeting 12/14 like someone mentioned earlier? Have others heard back yet besides TrueChange? Btw congrats to you!

Accepted today via portal!
Interviewed 12/1/17
IS

Anyone know how we submit campus preferences?
It will be in your acceptance portal thing.

Speaking of campus preferences, any word from anyone on campus assignments? Accepted in October and haven't heard anything since having to rank campuses again.

I'm ORM and LM is 71. Yes, the portal is the same thing as the application status. I did not get an email yet.

Accepted! Wishing you all nothing but the best.

Accepted as well (in late october)! Fell in love with the place and people during my interview. Any word on when campus preferences are finalized? Someone in the admissions office said they'd be out by the end of November, but they sent out that secondary campus ranking email pretty recently.
