Received my first II this past week! A pleasant surprise so late in the cycle. Complete 11/30, LM ~70, OOS, and non-trad. Scheduled for a mid March interview.
Hi Miguel! Thank you for offering your help, I wanted to know if there is any unique characteristics of the NSU program that attracted you to the school if you had to decide between this one and other florida schools.Hello everyone, I'm a M1 at NSU MD. I'm here if you have any questions regarding the program or anything you wanna know.
Hello all! I interviewed here on 1/24... still haven’t heard my admission status. How long did it take you to receive your status post interview? Additionally, is it sent through email or through snail mail?
@MiguelB Do you really have to go to class for 2hrs 5 days a week the first year? What do you do during the daily PBL, do you learn content or just practice cases?
Also an M1 and can answer this. You have pbl, Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 2 hours, where you go through clinical cases and apply content learned. Tbl for 2 hours on Thursdays. Tuesdays are longer days with anatomy and practice of medicine. If you guys have any questions, dm me or 00/5 here and I can try to answer.
Hi! Hope you are doing well. Thanks for sharing. I don't think your privacy options allow DM right now.
Congrats! 🙂 Did you send them a letter of interest or any updates after you were placed on the WL?Just got my acceptance on Tuesday! (2/18) very excited!! Was originally WL on 1/22.
I didn't send them anything. I remember they told us on interview day that literally 99% of us would be placed on the WL until they can review a larger body of candidates. So I just patiently waited, but I also felt extremely confident about my MMI. Ha.Congrats! 🙂 Did you send them a letter of interest or any updates after you were placed on the WL?

Nope :/Has anyone who interviewed on 2/7/20 heard anything?
Did anyone get a decision back within 2 weeks like they said or are they late for everyone ?
Waitlisted via email! Interviewed Feb. 7th. 3 week turn around - not bad from what I’ve heard on this thread. Really hoping they start pulling off early considering they don’t allow you to know your waitlist rank...unlike UCF (just sayin)
For the M1's, how much of the tuition do the scholarships approx cover at Nova? And what are these scholarships based on, MCAT/GPA, or other stuff?
Same. Do you happen to remember if they gave us a timeline on when we'll hear back?I was pleasantly surprised by Nova today! I’m looking forward to hearing back from them.
They said they would try to get back within 2-3 weeks but for sure by April 30th 🤔 haha that part was confusing.Same. Do you happen to remember if they gave us a timeline on when we'll hear back?
Okay thanks! Yeah I must have zoned out slightly and then I heard the April 30th part and was like ummmm that's a long time that can't be right lolThey said they would try to get back within 2-3 weeks but for sure by April 30th 🤔 haha that part was confusing.
Yeah can't really say. It's a standard MMI, pretty low stresshello fam,
i understand yall signed an NDA, but may i ask if the MMI is acting or discussion based?
thank you
Just be prepared for everything, that's my best advice to you!hello fam,
i understand yall signed an NDA, but may i ask if the MMI is acting or discussion based?
thank you
At my interview day last week they said they are interviewing through the end of April. Are they still sending out interview invites or when is the last date to interview?? Been waiting in silence since August.
Yes every Friday through April. Still plenty of interview days left!At my interview day last week they said they are interviewing through the end of April.
Hi, minimum two hours are mandatory which exclude lectures. These are PBL, TBL, and also HSF (Human Structure and Function) and the Practice of medicine course. One day of the week will be long, 8-5pm. The curriculum is subject to modifications depending on the changes the program may want to implement. In PBL you review information and also learn new, I try to stay ahead so I can provide more to case discussions, these very by case also. Some may be more review, others may be almost all new information.@MiguelB Do you really have to go to class for 2hrs 5 days a week the first year? What do you do during the daily PBL, do you learn content or just practice cases?
Got an interview invite yesterday. Date was in early April which surprised me as most schools are finishing up their seasons now
