Did anyone get an interview confirmation email with details? When I confirmed my date it said one would come but I haven’t gotten one.

I’m assuming we report to the university location, not downtown Tampa. The website says the medical school is moving “late 2019” but I don’t know if this is considered late 2019. Just wanted to make sure I book my lodging on the right side of town.

You'll definitely be reporting to the main university campus. The downtown campus will open in January. Congrats on the interview and hope you love USF as much as I do so far!

I haven't recieved the confirmation yet either. I was going to wait through the end of the day Monday and then contact them. They sent out the II at the end of the day Friday, so it wouldn't surprise me if they're waiting to send out the confirmation once staff gets in at the start of the work week.
 
Also for everyone who has an II already, if you want some advise on things to do, traffic, etc. in Tampa and around USF, feel free to reach out to me! I'm a Tampa local and live a block away from USF 🙂

I haven't received one either. Can you let me know what they say if you end up contacting them? Also, do you think it should be safe to book flights now or wait until the confirmation is given?

I went ahead and booked my flights. If you log back into the portal it does say "interview date confirmed" (but it doesn't show what date or give any other information). I'm assuming the confirmation emails will come later.

Can you suggest hotels within walking distance of where interviews are held?

I was complete when I submitted. It shows your status on the portal. "Your application is now complete and will be reviewed for admission." That was 7/27. Received II 8/2.

SO guess who missed a call from USF med admissions office today...Called back and they're closed now. Any ideas what its about?
 
Also, a little advise to anyone interviewing in the coming weeks. Make sure to get here with enough time to search for parking. I am a USF Health employee and even when I get to work at 8am on most days, I still struggle to find parking by the WELL. I would recommend if you can't find any day visitor parking in the parking lot next to the WELL and the College of Medicine, park across the street by the College of Public Health, there's almost always parking available over there.
 
@pBar wht nearby hotels do you recommend? They give a list, but I see some closer that aren't on the list... I'm not driving so whatever is closest would be best for me.

If you're looking for nearest, the Embassy on campus will be your closest bet. As for anything else nearby, be weary of the area between West of Bruce B Downs and East of i275, not the best area. There's a Wingate and La Quinta just across Fowler from the embassy that are a little cheaper. If you take an uber about 2 miles east of campus on Fletcher there is also an extended stay, residence inn, and Hampton inn. Any of those would probably be good options. Never hurts to check Air BnB as well.
 
hey all, forgot to mention, when I signed up they said they only interview on tuesdays and as of now they're assigning interviews on every tuesday of September

Be careful with airbnb.. have already had two hosts near the university cancel on me. One of them tried to get me to cancel (even though they were the ones who said they couldn't accommodate), which would have made me lose the service fees.
 
I applied for the CORE program only but I just received a phone call saying that they put my application in for consideration for SELECT and that I got an interview. Can people who got SELECT II give me some insight into the program/ things they like about it? By taking this interview, I am not longer in consideration for the CORE and I am trying to decide whether or not to withdraw this II and be reconsidered for CORE.
 
Did you guys ever receive complete emails for this school?
