Isn't this a pretty high yield for a med school?Idk if it helps but their yield is ~50% so I dont think they necesasrily assume most people who get accepted would go.

I first thought so but now looking at these numbers it seems pretty par for the course
Not really unless you want to data entry it. When you find the link to the actual spreadsheet you'll find that the owner restricted it so you cant copy paste or download a copy for yourself.any way to download this?
Yeah, I made the spreadsheet and restricted everything because it was a heavily time-consuming process and I personally manually entered every data point and have kept it updated for the past three years. I'm sorry it's annoying that you can't download it or have a copy - I'll think about how I could potentially change things a lil bitNot really unless you want to data entry it. Dear ****,
Thank you very much for your notes. We enjoyed welcoming you on your interview day and Drs. ****** and ****** enjoyed their interview with you. I appreciate the enthusiasm for VP&S that you have expressed. It is a very special place.
Although it is too soon to know definitely how things will go this year, I can assure you that the Admissions Committee will keep you very strongly in mind. If you have any further updates for the Committee, please upload them directly to the Secondary Application.
Take Care,
Anne Armstrong-Coben, M.D.
Senior Associate Dean for Admissions

Did they copy pasta to u too?Damn, and to think I actually felt special when I read this message 😭 My optimism is crushed lol
Yuppp 😔Did they copy pasta to u too?
I felt so good for DAYS after getting that e-mail. But a few days later I googled the phrasing and I found the old SDN threads. I wish I was still living in blissful ignorance.Did they copy pasta to u too?
did you express intent or interest in the school? Some people asked about LOI’s so putting in my two cents. I sent a LOI in feb and while I have no idea if it actually helped, I did get in and I’m def nothing special compared to my classmates. It’s probably more helpful if you can combine it with a general update as well
Intentdid you express intent or interest in the school?
+1 complete late JulyWooops, Pre-II R!![]()
You have a fantastic username.Goodbye Dream School... Pre-II R!![]()
Haha thanks! You have a fantastic username.
I am so torn because I did send in an update/letter of continued interest combined, but it wasn't an intent. Now I feel like if I sent in a letter of intent it'll mostly be repetitive. oof. i am just so nervous for the March 1st date tbhSome people asked about LOI’s so putting in my two cents. can send a short, sweet to the point letter of intent. doesn't really need to include updates especially if you don't. maybe just highlight one additional thing about columbia that has made it certain it is the institution for youI am so torn because I did send in an update/letter of continued interest combined, but it wasn't an intent. I think you did the right thing!! Columbia has AMAZING WL movement, so if you do get WL'ed, you'd be kicking yourself for not sending the LOI then. Suffering in solidarity by the way haha!I am so torn because I did send in an update/letter of continued interest combined, but it wasn't an intent. :'(( bruh. ill be seeing u on the other side hopefullyI think you did the right thing!! Columbia has AMAZING WL movement, so if you do get WL'ed, you'd be kicking yourself for not sending the LOI then. Suffering in solidarity by the way haha!
I also did that and am saving my intent letter if I get waitlisted!I am so torn because I did send in an update/letter of continued interest combined, but it wasn't an intent. omg i am in the exact same boat!! i have been having the same debate and also recently sent a update/interest letter post-interview if you ever want to PM me about it and talk!I am so torn because I did send in an update/letter of continued interest combined, but it wasn't an intent. Can’t imagine an adcom feeling that way if it’s sent at the appropriate time (eg post waitlist decision $IMHO that looks needy.
That's fine, and def not something to stress about! Columbia just clicked perfectly for me so I was very happy to immediately send a letter of intent, but I think you're fine and I second what other people are saying about sending another letter if you're waitlisted. And of course, nothing wrong with deciding you like another school better!I am so torn because I did send in an update/letter of continued interest combined, but it wasn't an intent. hmmm in your case I would save the intent until after your interview season! you never know if you're going to like that other school more until after you interview. I have another interview left as well, prob the last of my season, but Columbia is still my top choice by far which is why I was debating thatomg i am in the exact same boat!! i have been having the same debate and also recently sent a update/interest letter post-interview if you ever want to PM me about it and talk!
I am waiting for another week or two to make decision esp since I am interviewing at another school I also really love next week. At the moment I am leaning towards saving a LOI for the waitlist since I am hoping there will be even more WL movement this year. Wish March 1 was here already though as this waiting is sooo stressful
