I see a lot of people mentioning deferral - were you told that this was the status of your application? I interviewed Nov. 4th and have heard nothing since then. Three decision dates have passed since then so I'm starting to get anxious lol
i interviewed 11/11 and got deferred yesterday

Does anyone know the post-ii acceptance rate here? On mededits admission statistics it says they accepted 707/747 people interviewed..... That doesn't seem correct to me. Does anyone have any insight?

US News says ~55% (incl. those off the waitlist)

I interviewed on 11/18 (have not heard anything since...) - during the little slideshow presentation about the school and whatnot, there was a slide with some of the application/interview/acceptance numbers. From memory, the slide showed that they interviewed around 1500 people and accepted around half of those. The admissions officer hosting us made it a point to bring this to our attention, and then smiled coyly.

I also remember them saying they received an unusually high number of applications this year so they were interviewing a few hundred more than usual

Does anyone interviewing soon want to ask about the extra decision dates? 🙂

D'oh! I interviewed this week and forgot to ask that one. They did tell us to expect a decision in around 8 weeks, which I know is what they've been saying, but I suppose that means you could at least anticipate another date about 8 weeks out?

I interviewed in December and they said to expect a decision in 8 weeks, but that they will be adding more decision dates past the 19th. I presume they’ll have a couple in March/April, but would love to know if they have specific dates set so we’re not all refreshing our emails constantly after the 19th, but have specific days that we know of to constantly refresh :/

I’m sitting on 12+ weeks post-interview.

does anyone know if they offer scholarships on a rolling basis after you fill out the application and FAFSA? wondering if the financial aid package on the portal includes any potential scholarships/Drexel aid or if they have not reviewed the applications yet

9/29/20. OOS but strong ties to the Philly area and a lot of experience working with the underserved so hopefully they think it is a good fit too 🤞🏻. You?
nice wishing you the best! and not til 10/27 🙁 but I'm a career changer and I read that they like non traditional students so hoping for the best!

wishing you the best! it is okay, I feel like I should have submitted earlier too! I tell myself if they like you then they like you no matter what. I am nontrad too, they do like nontrads!

And i’ll add that i was middle of my class at best or lower quartile during preclinical years.. and i was still awarded stuff
were you awarded drexel aid or merit scholarships? that would be amazing if they truly give out that much aid

also i know we can't make an accepted students facebook, but is there a groupme? might b easier to ask questions in that form

If I may ask to those who interview, is there any essay portion involved for this cycle? some reddit posts and sdn interview feedback says there's like a 30min essay portion or something. I just want to be aware ahead of time. Thank you!

There’s no essay! They may have done that in previous years

Any accepted applicants also receive their financial aid package today? Mine is just a loan, even though my EFC is 0 :/ Hopefully they'll be updating it later in the cycle once they start giving out scholarships.
