Just got the email and got the A…for Alternate
Oh well, at least there are other options lol. Congrats to everyone who got accepted!

LM 69, MCAT 51x, GPA 3.6x, sGPA 3.5xCongrats everyone! What was ur stats?
Does anyone know if there is an accepted students group?
yes it was quite jarring especially when she had just talked so passionately about serving the underservedDid anyone else think the Dean’s answer regarding diversity in medicine was sort of.. awkward
Yeah like she could have easily segued into the mentoring programs offered by nova/students for HS Stem students in underserved areas and she chose to say that.. her delivery/wording was so bad in my opinionyes it was quite jarring especially when she had just talked so passionately about serving the underserved
First two years are pass/fail right?
No everything is on gpa scale. I believe a 95 counts as an A.
Admin stated that the location you applied to on AACOMAS would be your first location upon acceptance. They do allow people to request a switch and they said that "90% of the time everybody ends up where they wanted to be". So if you get the A, make your deposit and request the campus. They won't allow you to request until you make the necessary deposit first. Are we able to select which campus we would prefer to attend (Davie vs Tampa?)
out of curiosity, how did your interview go both times? I’m wondering like what differentiates between an A and alternateI was alternate listed last cycle and got a call in July saying I was next to come off the list. No one dropped so I applied again, only to get another early interview and early alternate list placement.

I thought the first was good, the second okay. It was my first in person interview this year so perhaps I was slightly unprepared. My ECs and letters improved a good amount since last year.out of curiosity, how did your interview go both times? I’m wondering like what differentiates between an A and alternate

Took them 4 weeks for my decisionDoes anyone know how accurate the 4-6 week turn around time frame is?
I received my A in less than three weeks.Does anyone know how accurate the 4-6 week turn around time frame is?
You will be competing for an ACGME residency spot in the same pot with all US medical school seniors (DO + MD) + reapplicants from the previous year + IMGs. Your USMLE/COMLEX score + shelf exam scores at clinical rotations + letters + dean's letter + GPA + research, etc. will be the decision-making criteria, not that you attended NYIT over NSU because NSU has both DO and MD schools.I have started withdrawing my "A"s from other schools and left with NOVA and NYITCOM. Does anyone have thoughts as to which one would be a better option? I am hearing concerns about NOVA board scores and more competition for residency due to the "new" MD school.

anecdotal, but i know an M2 here that got accepted with a 504 and similar gpa as youAny lower-end stat ppl get the A? I interviewed with a 503 and 3.8cGPA/3.78sGPA but worried my mcat will get me WL’d/R’d.. is it safe to say if the interview went well/my faculty members liked me I have a good shot at an A?

I just got the A with the same MCAT and lower GPA. I think if you’ve interviewed already they’ve decided your stats are A-worthyAny lower-end stat ppl get the A? Idk what you mean by "significant." I had about 100 hours of clinical volunteer and 100 hours of non-clinicalfor everyone that got accepted, did you have significant volunteer/ underserved experience? they seemed to have emphasized that a lot
