What number are you guys calling to contact admissions? I've tried a million times with the number on their website but it sends me straight to voicemail.

They’re probably just waiting to build anticipation. That way when they surprise us with an A, it’ll be more gratifying.

That way when they surprise us, we will have to scurry like rats to find housing 😁

My partner also just got the pre-II R. I think they officially closed the interview cycle.
Damn it man I was really hoping and praying Drexel would send me an interview invite in June!!! What am I ever going to do with my life now :(

Finally just got the R Pre-II. The email mentions their decision upon my application 'was not arrived at in a hasty manner.' ...

Could anyone comment on the quality of Drexel's clinical rotations? Are students more likely to get their top choice? Are certain academic hospitals better than the others?

The threads for the 2024-2025 cycle have been posted but we still don’t have a decision

When are they going to start going over the defer list? I interviewed in November, got deferred in February, and have not heard back. I even submitted two loi's but to no avail.

Same, deferred in December and have uploaded two letters and my resume since. Have low hopes of getting in but if I have no chance I wish they would just let me know by now

That is honestly frustrating. I even shot them an email twice only to get the same response that they are evaluating all applications till the end of the application cycle. This is my only MD II, and I want to know their decision, especially this late in the cycle. I'm getting worried about the rate at the FB accepted student group is going at cause it is increasing every single week and I haven't seen any significant deferral movement on here

Lmao by the time I get an official decision they’ll have already received my primary for the next cycle

Drexel has no home hospital. If you are a Philly student you will either be at an all yr site where you do all your rotations, or you will rotate through different hospitals for each block. If you're at an all yr site, you'll will need to move out of Philly to areas like Pitt, Harrisburg, York, California or other. If you a rotator, they send you all over the place, one block you could be at Pitts, another at NJ, another in Delaware etc. Blocks are 5 wks long, except for IM and Surgery which are 10 wks long. If you are a WR student you are guaranteed an all yr site spot at the WR hospital for yr 3 and 4. Placement is determined based on a lottery system, some sites are more popular and students may not always get their top pick.

Yeah thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. However, I have heard that the rotations were a bit disorganized and I'm not sure if current students could speak on that.

Any idea how many of us still haven’t gotten an initial decision? I’m coming up on 13 weeks since my II and I’m starting to get worried my odds aren’t great which is rough because this is my top choice.

I wonder if they’re just not gonna accept any deferred people until the waitlist is officially created.
