Is the deposit the only thing we have to do reserve our seat? Is there any enrollment forms or anything else that needs to complete in tandem with the deposit?
I'm not sure if the deposit itself is the deciding factor in reserving your seat. I do know there's a check list of things to do before matriculation on your personalized page. I haven't gone through all of that information thoroughly yet.

The deposit is all you need to do to reserve your seat! They'll start sending out matriculation packets a month or two after the first deposit deadline (got mine in mid-January), but you have months to get all of that documentation in. I hope this helps! Congratulations on your acceptances!

OOS II Received today, August 1st 2024. Secondary completed July 27th 2024.

So, can I wait until December 14th to claim my spot? Until then, can I still scope out other medical schools and attend other interviews?
Yes! I attended several other interviews between receiving my acceptance and paying my deposit. Your spot is reserved as long as you get your deposit in by the deadline!

Hey guys!! For everyone that interviewed, do you guys have the emails of the people that spoke during the info sesh? I can't remember, but I wanted to shoot a quick email regarding rotations 🥴

Is anyone else going to the ACOM Ambassador Q&A Session on Monday? I'm not sure if it's only for the people that interviewed during the first round.

Yes, I am! I interviewed the first round.

Those that had issues with the microsite, how long did it take to hear back from admissions to fix it?

I got an invite for ACOM secondary and I have registered for injury or whatever. Now I am at discover.acom website where do I go from here? I am not seeing a place to submit my secondary application.

Has anyone been unable to add guests for their in-person interview? I chose my date but the option disappeared...

I had to call to get a new link! Try that 🙂

anyone know what the minimum academic requirements are? I submitted my primary last week and still haven’t received a secondary

I submitted primary last week on 8/1 and got a secondary invite 8/6. IDK about minimum, but. . .

This is what they said in their secondary invite email:

"The ACOM Admissions Committee has completed a review of your AACOMAS application and is pleased to invite you to complete our Supplemental Application as explained in the instructions below. ACOM receives over 5,000 applications each year and there are several factors influencing admission decisions. The competitive MCAT score usually begins at 501 and the competitive GPA is 3.4 (overall) and 3.3 (Science). A higher MCAT score and/or grade point average (above 3.4) results in improved chances for an interview."

Congrats! 1 day turn-around is CRAz-y. When is the next interview date if you don't mind?
Thank you! I was very confused as to why there was a one day turn-around. Seems like luck with timing go my app being put in the pile honestly. The earliest I saw was 9/23 but that was last week so I am not sure how far out they are booked now.

Congrats on the As! For those who have interviewed, how was it?
It was really nice. All of the faculty were super kind and uplifting! My interview was very conversational and my interviewer was very engaged with what I was saying. Definitely know your application and just be yourself! Best of luck!

Anyone with a sub 500 accepted?

I have a 499 MCAT, 3.79s+cgpa, loads of clinical, research, and volunteer experience.

I have an OOS II scheduled for 9/13 and I’m worried my MCAT will hold me back from the A…. 😬

OMS-1 here. We have people in our class that are just below 500 on their MCAT 🙂 if you got the interview, it’s for personality now! Your stats shouldn’t hold you back from the A if you got an interview invite. Hope this helps and good luck on your interview!

Thank you for this boost in confidence! I hope you have a great day!

Anyone who has interviewed, can you share your experience? What's your recommendation to get ready? Thanks!
