What is that?
A financial aid form, outside of the FAFSA. It cost money so there may be some value in waiting to see if you get waiver codes from schools but IDK for sure. Someone else will have more solid info I’m sure.

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the applicant portal? I was hoping to upload an update letter but it’s asking me for a bypass code from the IT help desk to log in. Tried resetting my password but got the same message

I had the same issue yesterday and couldn’t upload my letter

Also had the same problem. Called IT and got the issue fixed within a couple min!

I just got another post interview follow up email that mentions submitting an official transcript. People who are waiting for a decision, have you sent that in or are you waiting to do it after getting a decision?

I did too. I went ahead and sent it since they keep stressing how much they want it, haha. And it was free. Now if it was a paid service at my school, I would likely wait.

Anyone else also not get this email?

Not sure if this has been asked, but does BU admitting 465 students for 140 spots make sense, especially if there is such little WL movement? Can't wrap my head around it.

Very expensive school with high COL around the school. They also said they don’t match scholarships so a lot of accepted students usually have better financial options. That’s honestly my current issue with BU is that I have other options that might just make too much sense $ wise. Can’t argue going to school for an extra 30-40k a year plus interest plus living in Boston

The vast majority of highly ranked medical schools have sub-50% yield.

They definitely overadmit with their yield in mind. According to admit.org, BU’s yield is 33%!

I edited my comment to include it. Admit.org sourced it from USNews, where schools self reported the data.
Where do you find it? I don’t see it. Can you send the link. The school stats just show interviews and acceptance's.

What do people wear to the accepted student visit days? business causual or?
I wore a button up and black dress pants and I definitely felt over dressed. Some people wore Tshirts and hoodies. You could probably wear a quarter zip or normal collard shirt and khakis or something of similar level

anyone have issue getting into the portal with a popup asking for a code from the IT help desk?
yeah im having this issue rn, trying to figure out what the address is gonna be for the open house on the 28th (anyone know?)

Does anyone happen to know when the committee meets for March decisions? I'm planning on sending an update letter and curious if it might be too late

Last year's thread someone had jotted down from Dr. Goodell that committee was February 28th. I imagine it is sometime this week or next. Their last email (interview follow-up) from them said decisions would come out in early March.

IIRC at the accepted students they dr Goodell said decisions would be coming out March 15thish and stressed the ish, so probably sometime that week for decisions. as to when they actually meet to make those decisions I am not sure

Since the calling chaos starts a few days before official decision emails, do we think those start Friday, with official decisions sometime late next week?

Idk if this is true but my fellow and I were trying to predict the day official decision emails would go out. Based on past years it seems like the Wednesday before match day which would make that 3/19. We’ll see if this is true as the next few weeks approach!

Edit: just looked on msar and it says final date of notification is 3/14/25 so my prediction high key might be wrong

Are they one of the schools that says that?
Yeah I asked about it at the revisit day and Dean Goodell said that they can't match scholarships, and that she hates this time of year as tons of students reach out saying they got X amount to a different school and she just has to say her hands are tied. So there is no negotiating and iirc it is all Need based, the deans scholarship is the only merit and that is at the time of the A

has anyone heard anything yet? cycle track doesnt show anything for today! maybe it isnt happening today?

I saw someone mention that the march release follows match day which would make this year’s decisions be next week. Pretty sure that was just a theory tho. My money’s still on tomorrow or friday.

Do you think adcoms ever look at these threads, and laugh at us?
I can confirm they definitely look at them. Dean Goodell name dropped Reddit and SDN threads at the revisit day. Definitely some adcoms lurking around
