This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Have any current ub undergrads caught whispers about when decisions are coming out? I hate how it literally will be a jump-scare email

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if they send out post-II R? Or does everyone else get WL?

congrats to those who've interviewed/been accepted!

How was the interview for y'all?

My interviews were super conversational and open file. Both interviewers had specific questions they came up with after reading my primary application and they mentioned thing from my secondary application so def be prepared to answer questions on those. Otherwise it was a very positive experience--two one hour interviews. They seemed to really want to get to know you and make the experience as low stress as possible, which I think they accomplished!! Good luck!

very similar experience to @hopefulpostbac

I had two interviews, one was with a dean and the other with a current M2 student. Very conversational and personal, so be sure to know your application very well and be able to elaborate/talk/explain things that's already on your application. The dean asked me a few ethical questions but nothing too crazy. Make sure to prepare a few questions to ask, and just enjoy! I had a really great time interviewing. Good luck!!

Hello, I wanted to get some feedback. I have an MCAT of 523 and an undergraduate GPA of about 3.81 from UB. I have a Lizzie M score of about 78. I was complete on August 8. it’s been radio silence since.
My theory is that they think they are my safety school and that I would go to a more prestigious school if accepted at one and they are saving their interview slot. I feel their strategy is to invite me for an interview very late in the cycle. That way I will have an acceptance by then, and I will decline their invitation and that’s how they will save the resource of an interview slot. Does this make sense to anybody? Does this seem likely?

Truly can’t tell if this is satire

No, I’m not kidding. I feel like I should’ve been contacted by now. I’m wondering if this is yield protection. This is not satire.

True, my essays were crap, but my extra curriculums were pretty decent. I’m an EMT, but I have no research experience at all.

Okay in that case I have a few follow up questions.

1. In state or OOS
2. How many schools did you apply to
3. Any II or A’s?
4. Any particular reason this one has your attention?

Depends on your extracurriculars too, high stats just one of three requirements for interview invite. Activities and personal statement equally important, and letters might be an issue too.

1 IS
2 nine
3 I interviewed at Hofstra and Albert Einstein in December. I will interview at Stony Brook at the end of January.
4. I did my undergraduate here. It’s got a good vibe and the medical seems to to have a caring and supportive environment

I really appreciate the advice and insight thanx

I agree with you, my concern is that I received three interview invites from schools that I completed in October and I was complete for Buffalo in August and heard nothing from in
