Hey everyone! While the end of the cycle is closer, a significant amount of time remains. We anticipate continuing to invite students to interview and conduct interviews through May.Same...I wasn't sure if I should reach out through email or not about this
Just got the call to move up my date! Now moved to 02/28! I had the option for 02/25…but I just sent in my suits for dry cleaning…Has anyone gotten their interview moved up after filling out the form? When I went to schedule my interview the earliest date was April 😭
Awesome! Hopefully I can get in sooner 🤞Just got the call to move up my date! Now moved to 02/28! I had the option for 02/25…but I just sent in my suits for dry cleaning…
Are lectures mandatory to attend in person and is there a business casual dress code when attending? Also, how frequent are in-person classes? Are they flipped classroom or team discussions? Do we get access to lectures prior to class? Thank youSorry just saw this, partially true. All large lectures are shared between campuses via Zoom. The classrooms are set up to stream lectures across both campuses with cameras and microphones. However, some lectures are based out of FL, and some are NM. It all depends on what faculty member is lecturing that day! I hope that helps!
Can you share some insight on the classes? Are lectures mandatory with business casual wear?Hey guys! I’m an OMS-1 from the Florida Campus. The interview cycle is REALLY long so don't feel discouraged if you have not heard back yet. I submitted my secondary the summer of last year and did not receive an interview until April of this year. I was waitlisted and eventually taken off. Continue to stay positive and use this waiting time to build positive habits that you can carry into med school. There are plenty of great books out there to read on these topics. Remember that discipline and self care are key on this journey! Feel free to reach out if you guys have any questions! Good luck!
I'll send you a PM. I've done this for a few others, and while it's not necessarily sensitive information, this isn't the right place for it. I'm happy to answer some of your questions. Can you share some insight on the classes? Are lectures mandatory with business casual wear?
please do for me too!I'll send you a PM. I've done this for a few others, and while it's not necessarily sensitive information, this isn't the right place for it. I'm happy to answer some of your questions.

When were you complete?IS ii just now!
Did anyone do the tour on campus in Florida?
Any tips?
like the last week of Jan!When were you complete?
Isn't that a good thing? LolGreat interview experience! Just wish it wasn’t as long as it was 🥲 Good luck to everyone who interviewed this week!
The interviews itself weren’t the issue…there’s just A LOT of downtime in between sessions/parts.Isn't that a good thing? Lol
Oh ok, good to know! The interviews itself weren’t the issue…there’s just A LOT of downtime in between sessions/parts.
depends on if you are updating them on anything too, good rule of thumb is don't exceed a page. be concise and iterate why that school is the one you want to go to, if this is truly your top choice you can offer to rescind all other applications if granted admission to this school, if not then dont say that, just be ethical thats allI have not...
Any advice on sending a letter of intent?
Like How long should it be?
Nope. But I got an email last week saying the decisions are delayed.Has anyone heard back from 02/13?
Would love some insight as well.I'll send you a PM. I've done this for a few others, and while it's not necessarily sensitive information, this isn't the right place for it. I'm happy to answer some of your questions.
I got the same email.Nope. But I got an email last week saying the decisions are delayed.
My interview was closed file and was pretty conversational.I was reading through last cycle's thread and saw that someone's interviewer kept asking about/grilling their MCAT score. If they only have access to the PS and secondary, are we expected to actually answer that? Isn't the point of partially blind interviews to eliminate any bias?
It was supposed to be for that student too so im wondering what to do if that situation did occur. My interview was closed file and was pretty conversational.
I would prep something to say but I don't think you'll be asked about thatIt was supposed to be for that student too so im wondering what to do if that situation did occur.
oh awesome! When did you interview?OOS A!
2/13oh awesome! When did you interview?
Take a look at the Burrell Interview page on SDN. In terms of the financial aid, only the NM campus is able to provide federal aid to its students.HI! I received an II and the date is coming up soon 🙂 Any interview tips? Also can anyone elaborate on the financial aid situation nd difference btw the campuses bc i keep getting mixed information 😅
Hi would you mind sharing a bit more about your stats? Such as research experience, volunteer hours, etc?II received yesterday. 49X MCAT. Just when I thought my dream was slipping away lol. So excited! Do not lose hope, y'all; your time is coming.
Has anyone put "No Preference" for a campus in their initial application, then changed it to a specific campus post-interview and got accepted to the campus you switched preferences to? I'm curious how that selection process goes, in general, for people who kept "No Preference."
This is true for (presumably) another year. It depends on the Feds, and we all know how that's going recently.Take a look at the Burrell Interview page on SDN. In terms of the financial aid, only the NM campus is able to provide federal aid to its students.
I'll DM you!Hi would you mind sharing a bit more about your stats? Such as research experience, volunteer hours, etc?
i think i saw ppl interviewing well into april/early may in previous threads! i don’t think the app update/LOI would hurt! i think as long as ur not like blowing up their phones/emails ur good heheHave not received an II from Burrell and I am wondering if it is still possible? Also, should I reach out and ask for an application update or send a letter of intent before evening receiving an II?
Lol thank you for this response. That gave me some hope and I will work on sending that out to them.i think i saw ppl interviewing well into april/early may in previous threads! i don’t think the app update/LOI would hurt! i think as long as ur not like blowing up their phones/emails ur good hehe
My interview was scheduled for the end of April and I got a call to move my interview forward to February. Not guaranteed ofc but a chance it could get moved up!I got an interview with Burrell scheduled for April 15!!
They have interview dates on their calender all the way until May 28! Is this a red flag?
I got an II on 02/11 and scheduled it for 04/07 and signed up for the cancellation list. A few days later, I moved it up to 02/28 (I could've done it earlier on 02/25 but I had just sent in my suits for dry cleaning...)I got an interview with Burrell scheduled for April 15!!
