If I interviewed on 10/2 and did not get a zoom link, am I still safe lmao
It just means “not now”If I interviewed on 10/2 and did not get a zoom link, am I still safe lmao
I made the mistake of looking back at previous threads and now I can't tell if a zoom link = WL or A
12pm ESTwhat time is the zoom at?
It depends on what you are sent.I made the mistake of looking back at previous threads and now I can't tell if a zoom link = WL or A
Will definitely not share links! Guess we'll find out on the 15th...It depends on what you are sent.
Some peoples link led them to a zoom presentation about being admitted.
Some got a zoom link to find out that they are on a WL right now but could be accepted later.
This is one instance where you should NOT share links with others - they are specific to you.
If you got one - go! And learn your news.
Best of luck!! I feel like it depends on what they told you during your interview day. The team told us that we would probably hear 10/15 but no promisesJudging from last years, zoom links are an A. I don’t see why they would switch back to previous years.
Hopefully the ppl who interviewed on 10/2 hear back in mid November and not on Monday. I already got waitlisted here last year and to be waitlisted again would be cruel😭
They said they’re leaning towards mid November for my Oct 2 interview but didn’t give me a definitive answer so I guess I’ll find out next week :/Best of luck!! I feel like it depends on what they told you during your interview day. The team told us that we would probably hear 10/15 but no promises

No it's not. Dude is overcomplicating things. Zoom = Acceptance. Takes 2 brain cells. That is so stressful
Let's all be kind here, please. 🫂No it's not. Dude is overcomplicating things. Zoom = Acceptance. Takes 2 brain cells.
I’ve been on SDN long enough I have seen a variety of ways this plays out. If I’m wrong I will correct it.No it's not. Dude is overcomplicating things. Zoom = Acceptance. Takes 2 brain cells.
I’m not even interviewed here. I just meant it’s stressful to find out you’re accepted or waitlisted on a zoom call (if that’s true). Also I trust wysdoc.Let's all be kind here, please. 🫂
We're all in this together and it's ok for ppl to be stressed on SDN. What is SDN for if not to be a little neurotic together?![]()
It just means you are not accepted right now - assume you are still in the running unless you receive a rejectionIf I interviewed in mid September and didn't get a zoom link, does that mean I am rejected?
Interviewed 9/30. No zoom link. They did say they were going to meet regarding our files today, so I would assume we would hear back somewhat later than the 15th. No clue though.Anyone that interviewed in last week of Sept receive a zoom link?

Yeah cwru releases decisions every month (starting October) so it’s possible you will hear back mid nov if they said they will review your interview cohorts files todayInterviewed 9/30. No zoom link. Same interviewed late Sept.OOS deferred Interviewed 9/5? I’m not sure what it means
Same interviewed late Sept.
Sorry you didn't get an A today 🙁 What was the exact wording of the email? Last cycle when I got alt listed, they said "Although you were not selected in the first round of acceptances, we still remain extremely interested in your candidacy and have placed you on our Alternate List."OOS deferred Interviewed 9/5? I’m not sure what it means

Also seems like at least for >Oct 2 interviews, we will hear back mid-Nov then since I received no communications today
Hey! I don’t know the specifics for Case, but Michigan has a very similar process and described it in our interview.Hey all, I can’t find more info anywhere so I thought I’d ask here. I have never heard of a med school that defers students. It seems like case only started doing it this year 🥲. If I got deferred, what exactly am I supposed to do? I really really like case and would love to attend next year 🙂. Should I send them a letter of intent? This feels way too early so I’m not sure if I should do it! Would really appreciate some advice.
I also think it is not too early for a letter of interest and can show them that you would really like to attend their school if accepted later in the cycle! Alternatively, a letter of intent could be beneficial in several months from now. Wishing you the best!Hey all, I can’t find more info anywhere so I thought I’d ask here. Would agree as well. Updates and letter of interest are always good (for updates as long as they are substantial)I also think it is not too early for a letter of interest and can show them that you would really like to attend their school if accepted later in the cycle! I’m 99% sure everyone last year who got alt listed were reviewed at the end of the cycle so it seems they are deferring people this year like macrophage said, so it’s a good thing!Hey all, I can’t find more info anywhere so I thought I’d ask here. most schools would just not say anything to youHey all, I can’t find more info anywhere so I thought I’d ask here. I have never heard of a med school that defers students. oh yes, lol, you can get interviews all the way up until February or March. I would say around December is sorta the panic zone/when you should be considering it less likely to get an II, but still not impossible
I also totally forgot to pay the fee. Almost 2 months after submitting my secondary I did. Does anyone know if this is going to push back when they will review it?
Just received a zoom link.
Hey! I don’t know the specifics for Case, but Michigan has a very similar process and described it in our interview.
It essentially means they are going to re-evaluate your application at every committee meeting from now on, and that you could be accepted in any future wave. If you’re not accepted by the end of the cycle, you’ll automatically be put on the waitlist.
I would personally not send a letter of intent yet, but that would not be a bad idea in a few months!
Hope that helps! And keep your head high—a deferral is by no means a rejection!

I basically had to hold on hope till July until I finally got the R💀
Hi Guys, Thank you so so much for the advice!! My life has been kinda boring and I've been working the same job. Not sure if I have any substantial updates so I think I might hold off on sending a letter of interest until later. I am not sure if there's a distinction between deferral and alt list at Case this year so I think I will be treating this as a soft waitlist and send a letter of interest before Thanksgiving!most schools would just not say anything to you
This school says you are "deferred" to tell you that haven't made a final decision at this moment.
If you have significant updates, you could send them in but otherwise, nothing you need to do.
They are partially open (physician/faculty has access to everything except stats I think, student more limited). But both of my interviews were very structured with both interviewers having 7+ questions they had to get through.Hey y’all are these interviews open or closed?
Best of luck this cycle! I got my OOS pre-ii rejection for CCLCM on 9/6. At least they let us know sooner than later.+1 OOS pre-ii rejection. lol this is my first rejection. CWRU sent me so many emails encouraging me to apply, only to reject me outright. I hope they enjoy my donation
They talk about update letters/continued interest timing in the All Access podcast. It's been a while so I don't remember exactly what they said but CWRU SOM is episode 12! It's worth a listen 😉Is it possible to send them a pre-II update letter? Dodged the past rejection waves and I want to know if there's anything I can possibly do to increase my chances...
I emailed them a while ago to ask and they said they do not accept pre II updates unfortunately. Is it possible to send them a pre-II update letter? Dodged the past rejection waves and I want to know if there's anything I can possibly do to increase my chances...
No idea, but last year it seemed like every middle of the month is when they released decisions.Does anyone know when the next round of decisions will be?
