Based on some previous Reddit threads I think it's possible this is how they phrase the admissions decision Zoom email... Could be absolutely wrong though.

Edit to add, I also got the Zoom link this morning.

From what I read, they send two zoom links: one for acceptance and one for waitlist. The wording of the email is similar to previous years.

Anybody who got rejected post II willing to save me some stress. Interviewed Oct 14 and did not get zoom link yesterday. When do you think I will get the jump scare email and they will put me down, the anticipation is killing me…

Hey I don't think they reject post-II, we are just deferred. I got the email around 4pm EST on the day other people got accepted.

How was the interview for those who did (I have mine next week)? Any curveballs or things to specifically prep besides traditional interview questions?

I interviewed early Oct and have not heard anything regarding a decision yet. I thought the 4-6 week turnaround period was like you were guaranteed an answer and regardless of what it was? As in they wouldn’t ghost you longer than that. But correct me if I’m wrong! 😅

mine couldnt have been more chill. i had a fun time with the faculty interviewer who asked me some standard questions from the adcom. my student one was unbelievably relaxed and she was soooo reassuring and fun. same thing with the standard questions.

for the interview day though, make sure you have lots of questions prepared to ask.

Congrats to everyone receiving A's! Just like we sort of predicted no zoom link = Deferred and adding my result to that (+1 deferred received just now)! Hoping for good luck eventually for all of us 🤞

+1 deferred email. Does anyone know if this is better or worse than an alt list offer? Do many people get accepted from deferment? Just wanna keep realistic expectations

Honestly, from what I can gather, this might be the first year they are doing deferment so it could be better? I assume they may be accepting less people right off the bat and waiting to accept more later on before forming the actual alternate list. (atleast this is what I'm telling myself to cope lol)

Has anyone that was deferred during October heard back?

Also on cycletrack, are the waitlists that are being reported actually deference?

Has anyone here been straight up put on the alt list and not deferred on here? I was personally deferred, however, I am yet to see someone post on here that they have automatically been placed on the alt list. What confuses me is they gave us 3 possible decisions for our application at the end of the interview and deferral was not one of those options, hence the confusion.

I have the same question. Also does anyone know if they even send out post-II R's? From last threads it seems to be either an A or Alt list --> Deferral this year, which is an "interesting approach" if true.

For anyone who has sent post-II updates /letters of interest: Do we send it via the Additional Documents tab on the portal or do we email them? If so, which email?

I read somewhere to use the additional documents tab for updates.

damn it lol, altlist/deferred 2 years in a row 🙁
Hi. Just responding because I noticed you also elected "Waitlisted" on Admit.org

FYI: Deferred ≠ Wait/Altlist.

Deferred means they will re look at applications each month. Also note that they're accepting much fewer directly from interview compared to previous years so deferred applicants will reasonably hear more than alt listed applicants would have previous years.

Many schools take this approach and its definitely better than a wait/alt list.

Thanks for the distinction.

Where did you hear that they're accepting fewer people directly post interview and instead deferring applicants? Did CWRU say this somewhere?

For everyone who has interviewed, how long were your interviews? I'm interviewing this week

How long after your interview day or after the day they said the ad com was meeting for reviewing your interview day did people receive the zoom link to meet with Dr. Mehta?

Would also like to know! Because they said they would meet for my date on 11/11 to discuss/make decisions (aka yesterday)

+1 OOS II this afternoon, right after waking up from a bomb nap. So stoked! Can anyone shed light on what the interviews were like?
2 Interviews - one with faculty which is a little under and hour and one with a student which is 30 minutes. Both were super friendly! No trick questions but they do have some standardized ones to be fair. Really love this school the interviews made me like it even more! Plenty of opportunity to ask your questions too

Does anyone have insight into LOIs here? Complete 7/23 and no word. I have some small updates to my application but nothing huge -- was wondering if this letter could move the needle lol
