Feel like I should post here as there is no MSTP thread.

Interview Deferral Today
I hope this helps anyone else in the MSTP grind like me. Also, does anyone have any recommendations based on the Deferral for the MSTP program?

Hi! I'm in the same boat - received the MSTP deferral today. LM 75 OOS, complete 7/25. There are also a few threads in the Physician Scientists forum! There is no specific deferral thread, but there is a waitlist thread: 2024-2025 MD-PhD Waitlist Thread. There is also a 2024-2025 MD-PhD Interview Invites Thread, and ones for acceptances and rejections.
In terms of recommendations, writing a letter of interest showing that you are excited about their program would be a great way to show continued interest while you wait for the decision in February. Wishing you the best outcomes on your applications and interviews!!

Yeah, I meant like CRWU MSTP threads

I did but sounds like few update at the school and got nothing to do with app decision.
Based on some previous Reddit threads I think it's possible this is how they phrase the admissions decision Zoom email... Could be absolutely wrong though.

Edit to add, I also got the Zoom link this morning.

I hope that’s it lol but it sounds more generic as the school providing updates on new developments at the school.

If I didn't get the zoom link does that mean anything? Anyone gotten in without the link?

Random q... does anyone know if we got the R from the University Program, does that mean that we're also out of the running for the CCLCM 5-year program? I haven't heard anything since submitting that app. But I'm guessing if I got the R from the UP, my chances of getting an II for CCLCM are next to none

They are unrelated admissions processes and they say a rejection from one doesn't influence the other. You could potentially fit CCLCM better and still get an invite there.

Nope you're still in the running, plenty of people get an II from one and R from the other. Though chances of an II to CCLCM for nearly anybody is next to none haha

also did not get a zoom link 🙁 I thought they were going to drop this friday

Do you guys thinks the zoom meeting is for application decisions?

A "check-in session" that maybe is a notification for acceptance? I hope!!! This is at least what has happened in previous years but I'm too afraid to celebrate right now
Quoting this post from last month! So I do think the zoom link is a good sign

if the people who got zoom links don't mind sharing, what date did y'all interview?

Random, but I just scrolled back through last year's SDN thread out of curiosity (also bc I am losing it) to see if its common to be skipped over for R or II for so freaking long (I submitted 7/18 and am low stat for them) and it seems they kept a good amount of July submitters (and others) hanging into the new year 😵 Many still got II or rejections for early submit dates into JANUARY. Glad to know they could keep stressing me out for a lot longer 🙂 But also last year they did larger rejection waves vs this year on cycletrack they seem to be trickling them...so who knows.

per admit.org it looks like about ~20% of people have been rejected already. those who have been rejected seem to have crazy high stats; I'd guess that they review all the high stat applicants first and slowly get to us diamonds in the rough 🤣

That was unfortunately my conclusion as well haha. A few are scattered with stats around mine... but not many... I wouldn't care as much if my top choice didn't wait until JANUARY 31st to release post-interview acceptances (and is a T20 so long shot)...I had my interview in AUGUST, this is torture. And the other I interviewed at (bad experience) deferred me until December decisions... so I have nothing to possibly do but WAIT, over-analyze, and hope.

waiting is the worst part! hoping for the best for you this cycle 🙂

I thought they said the next committee meeting was 11/11 at my interview day in late October? And that decisions would be late November.

Could be wrong though
Same, we had the same interview date im guessing (10/24) and I remember them saying that as well. Now I'm worried 😔

I was given a different committee review date so I may have been in the last batch of the prior group? Don't have my exact interview date in front of me, but I was also told 4-6 weeks for decisions - before Thanksgiving is what I heard. So I wouldn't stress!

We were told 11/18 for AdCom review when I interviewed last week.

This was for the university program, though.

I feel like we have to trust what they said. And they said could be early December also.
