Took me 13 days to get mine, so I would wait a bit more before worrying! Is getting past screening as an OOS applicant difficult? I submitted my primary to Iowa about 9-10 days ago. Kind of worried.
Yea Iowa manually checks everything I believe. So it may take a couple of daysSubmitted everything and paid the fee but the applicant portal shows it as incomplete and not paid, this is normal yeah?
email them! they fixed it within 10 mins lolSame situation!

Hi just for reference for anyone OOS waiting for a secondary - it took me 13 days 🙂Is getting past screening as an OOS applicant difficult? I submitted my primary to Iowa about 9-10 days ago. Kind of worried.
Are you still waiting on LOR verification? I submitted 8/2 and they're still pending. I heard most were done in 2 weeks so trying to see if that's still accurate or verification is getting a bit slower as more apps come in.i submitted my secondary 7/26, and the LORs still show pending? is it a good idea to email the admissions office? anyone in a similar situation?

Do they screen?FYI: I emailed and they said they've had an influx in apps since early August. Just have patience and they'll email us when it's all set.
yesDo they screen?
Seems like lots of people started looking for more schools to add and realized Iowa is actually a fantastic institution!FYI: I emailed and they said they've had an influx in apps since early August. Just have patience and they'll email us when it's all set.

I feel the impression you make in person is different from online. Why regret it? Most schools are only offering virtual!
I understand how you feel and that might apply to other schools, but Iowa makes it clear that the format of the interview has no bearing on your application and the admissions committee is blind to the style of interview you chose so I think you should be good.I feel the impression you make in person is different from online.
Thank you. I might have skipped that part. I’m glad to interview here since my current PI went to Carver.I understand how you feel and that might apply to other schools, but Iowa makes it clear that the format of the interview has no bearing on your application and the admissions committee is blind to the style of interview you chose so I think you should be good.

Wait, so you’re not being interviewed by the adcom?
I'm not sure by who, but they say this in their email.I guess not.
They probably have a group of committee members that make final decisions on the applicant separate from those who conduct interviews.I'm not sure by who, but they say this in their email.
"Whether interviewing in person or virtually, all candidates will be evaluated using the same criteria. The admissions committee will not know which format candidates used."
I take that to mean that they are trying to remove any bias that might be associated with a student picking one interview style over the other. Maybe the person who interviews you is part of the committee but they just can't disclose the style.
Submitted my app on 8/8 and just got verified today. They got thousands of apps but don’t worry they’ll get around to you, just gotta wait on it.submitted my app 8/10, but my LORs are still pending. how long should I expect until they are verified, or should I reach out to admissions?
Not too late imo. People get in with August apps all the time. I would just prioritize finishing the secondary when you receive it.Do you guys think it's too late to add this school?
I interpreted it as "clinical experience."For number 3. Please list and briefly describe all medically related experiences (paid/volunteer) you have completed during the past 5 years. Do NOT forecast future hours. Please include experiences listed on your AMCAS and also provide any additional experiences NOT listed on your AMCAS. (175 Characters Each)
