i wouldn't go by last year because the admissions guy Bill said they had no idea how they'd be getting the financial aid and admissions stuff to coordinate and go out at the same time, and that's why they gave the week as a range. also he said this to some interviewees ~2 weeks ago, so it's pretty up to date info. i’m gonna be fr i think you guys are going to be waiting until tonight EST to hear back

Oh ok I see! Yea maybe this year will be even less/ later given free admin. Congrats to everyone accepted and to all the WL, we'll end up where we are meant to be, Hopkins or not! 🙂

That's awesome that you got it!! It says that the evaluation assesses both income and assets, but shouldn't the 300K threshold just consider income? :/

Even though I’m dying to get a Hopkins II, there’s no way they’re sending me one because it’s so late in the cycle. I submitted early, so they must have already read my application and decided not to interview me long ago. On top of all that, they probably wanted my stats to be better. For a school like JHU, my LM score of 75.8 is just nawt enough!! Especially with free tuition being a factor this year, they want people with better numbers than I have. I also didn’t submit my CSS profile by their Nov. 15th deadline, and even though people on here say that doesn’t affect admissions, it’s another reason why things just aren’t meant to be for me and Hopkins!! I’m also OOS even though I used to live closer to JHU—they probably see me as a defector who doesn’t care about the community.

And THAT is why I’m not getting a Hopkins II. So sad.

Huge congrats to everyone who got their A today, though!! 🙂 And to those who got less exciting news, hope you’re doing ok—their loss!

Last year there was over enrollment and 0 pulled from waitlist
 
Some portal questions–did/does anyone's status actually say "Under Review"? Mine still says "Submitted" even though I sent it in on 7/29.

The dates are also weird. The "Started" date on my portal is 7/19/2024, but I didn't even get the invite til 7/22. Also, the "Submitted" date is 6/25/2024, which def isn't right lol. It's not the day I submitted my primary or secondary app.

Inside the actual application page with all the check marks, the only date that's off is the LOR submission, which is a week after I submitted the secondary app (including LORs) and got an "application complete" email.

Are the dates off for anyone else? Tryna make sure I'm not the victim of a weird app glitch.

Question for my fellow late/recent interviewers:

During my interview day, they told us to expect decisions the first week of February, but my portal says to expect a decision by January 30th. Anyone know which of those is likely to be correct?

Huh, when did you interview? At mine, they said by Jan 31 and if they needed a bit more time they would let us know. So maybe they already decided they will need the extra week and haven’t told us yet?
 
I don't have the post II information anymore, but my portal still says decisions are in 3 rounds (mid dec, late jan, mid march.) I'm ngl if i have to wait an extra week I will be crashing out to the extent you will be seeing me on the news

I interviewed in the December [emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]][emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]]th, [emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]]th block. Yeah sounds like they may be taking that extra week of deliberation.

I have an interview next week and wanted to know if I should expect to receive an admissions decision by the end of January or March. Does anyone know?
 
does anyone remember the policy on letter of intent / letter of interest? particularly for those scheduled to hear back by the end of january

They accept them but unsure how much it matters. Also said to send it in by mid Jan but I can't remember the exact date
 
My portal changed from saying decisions would release by January 31st to February 7th... Is anyone else seeing this? :,))
 
y'all i am dumb and forgot to do the IDOC part until now - do we think this has any bearing on financial aid decisions at all? sorry, know this has been discussed before and who knows if I'll even get in but i've seen mixed messages! thanks
