how does KCU match compared to other schools? Compared to MD and DO. I've heard they match similar to a mid to low tier MD, would that be true? I've only applied DO so I don't really know much about MD

Curriculum is the same for MD vs DO with DO taking OMM (a form of holistic therapy)

KCU one of the top DO schools and been around for over 100+ years

DO is traditionally harder to match competitive specialties, but if you’re going to a DO, KCU is one of the best ways to go to

for those of you who interviewed and saw the decision on your portal prior to receiving the email, where in the portal is that found?
 
Does anyone know if KCU ever provides scholarships?
 
for those who got A's, firstly congrats! secondly, how did you feel your interview went? I just had mine and I think some ethical scenarios threw me off my game, so I'm just curious about how yall generally think you did during the interview and if that correlated with the A

Thanks 🙂 in respect of the NDA I will be brief, but I felt very good after my interview. I connected well with those I spoke to. Good luck with your results! Important reminder: it can and likely will take 4-6 for your answer, so don’t worry if it’s taking a while.

I felt really good about one interview and mixed feelings about the second cus I got very open ended questions. Can't get into specifics cus NDA, but it wasn't really something I could prepare for tbh. Just prepare some stories important to you that you can talk about and you'll be fine!!

anyone who interviewed 9/5 in joplin still waiting for decision?
 
Does anyone know if I would be able to switch campuses after receiving an A? I applied to both and after the interview, I felt more compelled for one of the campuses. I emailed but got no response yet.

Most likely no from what the admins during my interview presentation made it sound like
 
no dice. got the usual "try our master's program for a guaranteed interview even though we see you aced other pre-med programs after undergrad". i'm a bit tired of trying these days, but i wish the best for you guys ✌️

Does anyone know how they select students for a campus location? I put no preference but am leaning toward the Kansas City campus.

i also got waitlisted and interviewed 9/5. Does it say anywhere on your portal that you got waitlisted? I don't see anything on mine, I only know because I got an email.
 
I will be submitting my secondary within the next week 😢 feel like I am late when applicants are receiving acceptances

I am also wondering please let me know if you get a response . I submitted my secondary last week and my portal looks exactly like this .Dont know what it has to mean
 
I just got an email letting me know that KCU scholarship applications have been uploaded to my portal for me to complete. I was wondering if answering these questions and submitting the application automatically means I've accepted my acceptance offer to this school even if I haven't yet paid my deposit?

No I don’t think it does but I contacted admissions and they said they won’t give out as scholarships till December/January
 
Does anyone know how much they pull from wajtlist? Or is it a lost cause and soft R usually?

Last cycle not a lot opened up off the KC campus. However Joplin campus had more. Don’t feel bummed out, it’s still very early in the cycle, and there will def be waitlist movement at some point. I got in off the waitlist (interviewed in January and then in June I was accepted). I sent updated letters of recommendation from physicians I worked for, as well as a LOI as I knew KCU was my top choice
 
this is probably so neurotic lol but did anyone get a general email from KCUCOM regarding their Master of Science program? I interviewed and am pending a decision. Don't know if that was just a preparation for an R or if everyone got the email...
