Waitlist email OOS, but strong IS ties. Seconding the anyone know how many get WL and how many move off/ when that happens? Also, was everyone's WL email worded like: you should probably look somewhere else (trying to see if that gives a hint to place on WL)

i think by midnight people with more than one acceptance have to withdraw from all but one school

One of their current students told me about 80% of their class comes off the waitlist. I’ve heard from several others that most of their class comes from the waitlist. I’m not definitively sure, but I think that mainly the top applicants get accepted right away, and that many very competitive applicants get waitlisted at first. The only person I know who got accepted right away this cycle also got acceptances from Harvard, Stanford, and several other top 10 schools.

i’m definitely signing up but it feels very disheartening as a reapplicant who has interviewed twice at this point. I had my meeting last year and took their advice, which was to get more volunteer hours. But the guy during that meeting was getting my information wrong like he barely read my file. idk… why do they keep interviewing me just to reject me? 😭
