I am hoping that is the case, but based off last years trends they were mainly R this late unless some folks did not report their A/WL in the midst of all the R.

The thing is some ppl last week reported post II Rs so those of us who haven’t heard back, yall think they just wanted to keep a group of us till the end for the thrill of it 😂 like why not just rip the bandaid

Edit- I don’t wanna believe they’re that ruthless

Low key excited for my rejection letter lol. Been waiting since September, don't understand the need to string along applicants like this all cycle...

If they give out acceptances this week, do people still have to respond by the 4/30 deadline for plan to enroll on AAMC?

Is it bad that I wished I had gotten rejected earlier in the cycle?? Its basically a rejection at this point, right? Like sorta best case scenario relative to most of our situations now. I feel like I held on to some hope and did nothing for those 6m than work full time and refresh my email.. feeling disappointed ... could have retaken the mcat ugh

Yeah keeping people waiting this long is pretty inconsiderate of applicants' time and ability to move forward with other things. I haven't been able to send a letter of intent to my top choice DO school because of it. But the fact that some people get good news after waiting so long and its not a certain R means I'm not going to withdraw from UMass and everything is on pause until the very end

This cycle has been very different and there should still be a lot of people waiting. Honestly, we should just take what they said and wait until 4/30. It's been very surprising so far and if they have underadmitted, there could be another round this Friday. After Friday I would believe there is no shot.

Hmm I hope all of us waiting are given good news. There has to be a reason they kept us this long. Has anyone tried calling for updates ?

Hi all — I’m a bit confused by the wording on the UMass website and in the acceptance email regarding the “Plan to Enroll” option on CYMS. I currently have one acceptance (UMass) and I’m on a waitlist elsewhere. Since I only have one acceptance right now, does it matter if I don’t select “Plan to Enroll” yet? Just trying to make sure I’m not missing any important steps. Appreciate any insight!

Im WL at Umass and accepted at a different school. From my understanding, if you don't select Plan to Enroll by Apr 30th, the school takes it as a withdrawal

Hi y'all praying for everyone still waiting <3
I know some schools do it based off of timeline vs ranking and just curious if anyone knows how the waitlist works at UMass!
Definitely an odd one out here, interviewed 21Jan and heard back around two weeks later for IS WL on 7Feb (not sure if that's a good or bad thing LOL)

If I am interpreting the new MSAR data correctly, 4 students deferred entry to c/o 2029.

UMass now offers 200 WL spots and reports to pull 40 people off the WL. Do not know if this applies to the 2025 cycle or the upcoming 2026 cycle.

MCAT data for matriculated students (does not differentiate between IS and OOS):
- 10th percentile: 505
- 25th percentile: 509
- 50th percentile: 512
- 75th percentile: 515
- 90th percentile: 518

MCAT data for accepted students IS/OOS is slightly higher than the matriculated students data. The 50th % MCAT for both is 514.

I am very interested to see how this turns out in the end!
Only 20% 😭 that's so much less than the 75/140 from 2023...

For anyone on the WL, do we think that there will be any movement before May 1st? The email had indicated it could be anytime, but the website specifies May 1st is when they start reviewing the WL. I'm sure your guesses are as good as mine, but any insights are appreciated
