A to LEAD off the WL since Feb, got a call today from the dean!!!! 🎉🎉😭
Congrats!!! Were you guys pulled off WL for MD & PURCH or just MD?
I applied both but was offered regular MD. They sent a separate email saying that if a spot in PURCH opens up down the line they will offer it and give the option for me to accept or decline PURCH specifically.

I haven’t received my aid yet but I completed my CSS last week and the financial aid office said they’re checking CSS profiles tomorrow.

It’s odd that this information has been shared online but yet UMass didn’t mention anything about them canceling need-based aid in their acceptance email.

Accepted off waitlist for MD this morning! Applied PURCH, but they indicated PURCH is full. Going to decline! Good luck anyone, and sorry to hear about the loss of aid...very devastating time
Paranoid question. How does an acceptance email look like. It says I’m “provisionally accepted.” Does that mean I am accepted but it is contingent on background check and accepting the acceptance on the portal? The title of the email says “UMass Chan Medical School - Acceptance.” I’m scared they sent me the acceptance by mistake. 🥲🥲 For reference, I was on the regular MD waitlist.
You were totally accepted on purpose! Accepted off WL as well, that occurred to me too but I assumed that it was contingent on the background check. I passed the background check and things have been smooth sailing. Hope to see you this fall!

You are in. Congrats. Since it is at the very end of the cycle today, accept the spot asap if you can (assuming zero to little FinAid).
You need to plan for your housing, especially if you want/need roommates, among other things. My friend is going through this now. Simply put, she needs roommates upon learning zero FinAid. Roommates are pairing up fast.

Sorry to interject, just curious what you mean by it being the end of the cycle today? Is it the last day to come off the WL?
Looking back the last few years, very little movement off WL reported here after the first week of June. By the end of May at the latest, Umass would have offered WL'ed all the available spots with 2 weeks of decision time. Rejected spots would be offered to "next-inline " from WL.
it is now June 6th, time is running out.
Historically how many people would get off the WL especially as of now ? (My friend is in WL and doesn't use SDN so asking for him rn). Just want to give him an idea. Thanks

happily at a different school now but every time I hear the phrase "nitty gritty" I get flashbacks to the vista curriculum and this tortuous waitlist
