hi yall! do we know if post-interview letters of intent are accepted? I emailed admissions a few weeks ago and have not heard back.

At our interview session, Dr. Kedian said they generally don't help, unless you have a very important update. Her examples were if you have published a paper that wasn't in your original application, or you started a new job as an EMT. This was regarding an update letter.

Is UMass done interviewing? Last dates they went out last year was 2/13. Don't know where they are at this cycle.

From what I see on admit it seems like they've already sent out more interviews this year than last year... but I've also heard that umass has been trying to grow their class sizes each year, so maybe there's still hope

Idk how it’s looking this late into the cycle but I hope there’s interviews left. I got an II invite from them last cycle in November for January but now I’m like dang is it over :/

Yeah, it just seems like a tough cycle in general. During the interview, they mentioned that this year they got 4x the number of applicants compared to last year, but kept the same number of interview slots...

Ya seems like every cycle the pool of applicants increases and it’s more competitive
We are now starting to see the effect of COVID pushing people towards medicine, with this year being the first year people in high school during the pandemic are applying. On top of that, people go back to school when the economy is in shambles. While our uncles may tell us gas and eggs are no longer $5, Superbowl ads being 90% AI companies begging us to use them shows how close we may be to a collapse that most of us have been feeling for the past 5 years.

it's been 6 months since I interviewed and no decision. I would love to go here but I am scared that I am just a rejection

Did you check spam? That's where my post II R. was. I went a good few weeks still delulu thinking I still had a shot.

Anyone OOS planning on going to the accepted students day? If so, where are people staying, and are you all bringing any family?
I have family in Boston, so I'd stay with them, but I'm lowkey lazy. I've seen the campus before, and it's pretty, but Worcester's not for me.

Did anyone get A's today??? Ik they usually send out WL/A/R post-II on Fridays but I dont see any 🙁

Haven't seen an II in well over a month from this school, if admit.org reporting is to be believed

My guess is they're done with IIs for this cycle
