can someone please confirm how payments are made? can we pay on a semester by semester basis? do we need to show upfront proof of the ability to cover all 4 years?

I believe it's yearly? payments should be posted around june/julyish. Could be wrong t
Parent here. Based on our experience only, 2 payments per year "automatically". No one had asked us to show upfront proof of ability to cover all 4 years ($0 FinAid answer in 48 hours). In the past years, 15+ posts here after April reporting A off WL. My guess the real "A off WL" number would be around 40-50, My kid's HS classmate rejected the "A" hours before the deadline, like at the end of June or July. Another accepted student, also a HS classmate, got "A off WL" to the PURCH track 1 week into the August soft-start of the school.
The whole process is brutal; unnecessary brutal IMO. . Keep your chin up.

hi yall, a bit late but i was accepted OOS off the waitlist 3/13 RD. I did not send any updates or LOI.
wl 12/5, interviewed 10/3

OOS. Recieved II in November. Just received WL this past Friday. Anyone know anything about the WL movement here? I hadn't heard anything in months so figured I was rejected.

I was in the same boat as u. Interviewed August and heard back February about waitlist. Got off waitlist mid march. There should be movement in April especially for OOS, as people can only hold one acceptance.

Anyone have any new info on financial aid? I know they said the 15th but seems well past that and starting to stress with the 30th deadline fast approaching

at second look, they said that they prob wouldn't be able to meet april 15, but would make sure to get it to everyone before april 30th. iirc

Just want to confirm there is no deposit we need to pay by the choose your medical school deadline right? I didn’t see anything in the portal

No aid as well but max federal loans. Anyone know how receptive they are to appeals to institutional aid? I have an in state offer elsewhere but think Umass is the better fit so hoping to make it work.

No idea but also sent an appeal with a competing offer so we shall see. Hoping their turnaround for appeals is quicker than for the initial awards otherwise I'll have to withdraw.

do we think that there may be more WL movement for IS this year because of more OOS potentially choosing their in-state schools because of the tuition and minimizing private loans?
Seems like it based on the forum threads this year. Similar conversations happening on Admit. I am selfishly hopeful! Got into a program I adore, but 30k a year is 30k a year...
