Oh wow only 42? How come they are like waitlisting all of us who just recently interviewed? (Just curious, probs cuz people are holding multiple acceptances??)
 
Only 42 students went to that accepted students event, but the email from Meritus health system sent to the employees regarding the dean leaving said otherwise. They already filled 80 of their 90 seats in Jan, so I would not be surprised if the class is full and the interviews are ending in only WLs and Rs now.

To be honest alot of students are probably waiting to hear back from other interviews or waiting to be off waitlists, it will move alot by March/april, I would not worry yet! I will be giving up my acceptance if I get into my top choice!

This makes sense! I was curious bc I interview 1/23 and haven’t heard anything at all and it’s been three weeks. Not too sure if I should reach out or wait a little longer lol 🥲

I actually think there no harm in reaching out. During my interview they told us we would have an answer 2-3 weeks maximum. And it seems like others on your interview day have a decision- for me it seemed like everyone on my interview day got their decision on the same day(from what I saw on this thread) if it’s been more than 3 weeks - I say go for it

In state student with many ties to the area. Interviewed 1/28 and waitlisted just now. Hoping for waitlist movement🥺
 
Has anyone heard of anyone getting a post-interview rejection? It seems like people are either getting accepted or WL and I’m stressed about how long this WL is.

the class is prob full already since they only had 80 total slots this year. If this is your main choice being on WL is good, just wait until after the withdrawal months.

What exactly are the withdrawal months? I have been waitlisted for over a month.

As a general rule, after March is when most people start hearing back from most of their program choices and withdrawals start trickling in. It’s not uncommon for ppl to hold multiple acceptances in the meantime. End of May is when students officially have to decide one and withdraw from all others. If your on a waitlist, you’d either get accepted or rejected by June as a result. I know a month seems like a while but some ppl in other programs have been WL’d since October. All we can do is wait and try to not dwell on it
 
Ive been waitlisted her since October. Unsure of what this school is planning on doing, but I do not plan on seeing any movement in this program until after May.

Sorry if this was explained elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything. How do you know 80/90 are filled?
 
I can confirm that the class is now filled. Any movement will come from waitlist movement.

does this mean ppl that interviewed already in February had the chance to be accepted?
interviewed earlier this month
 
The school is expecting a lot of waitlist movement over the next two months. It makes sense that they would fill a large waitlist with solid applicants. This allows the committee to continuously evaluate qualified students as people withdraw their As.
 
For those who’ve already been to accepted students day or toured the campus, is there anything you’ve seen pros or cons wise that stood out? Looking more so for smaller stuff that isn’t regularly talked about via the website or presentations. Like quality of gym, library, parking space, that kinda stuff.

I got a really good vibe from the staff during the tour overall. In terms of the facility, it was really clean and new but they didn't have any furniture set up when I went. The gym was in the school building and had lots of windows, however they hadn't installed any equipment yet. It was a pretty small space but considering the class size is small I'm assuming it will end up being fine. Parking seemed pretty good.They have parking outside of the apartment complex as well as plenty of spaces outside the school building. Overall, it seems great. I'm still WL'd here but hoping to get an A sometime soon 🙂

Agree with all of this! During the tour the staff seemed really friendly. They had good banter amongst each other which made me feel comfortable. Facilities are super nice but was hard to get the full picture without any furniture.

I definitely agree! I did think the library was pretty small considering the size of the building and thought it was much larger based on the virtual tour. Overall, I do think it will be a very good space. Plenty of open areas that will make for good lounge/study spaces.
 
I just received an email saying they’d call me? Is there anyone who also had this?
 
those of you that received that email, did your portals change at all to reflect a WL/R/A? I didn't get an email 🙁 I wanna cry
