is there anyone that interviewed anytime between January/mid feb that DIDN'T receive that email/call?

Finalized 02/24 and received II on 02/25. Had the interview yesterday and they gave me such hopeful, kind remarks. Sad to hear that theyre full already 🙁

Yea and it sucks because it seems as if they’re waitlisting everyone. So it’s hard to know if you actually have a shot. It seems as if everyone who completes their secondary gets an II and waitlisted. I haven’t seen anyone said they got rejected

They rejected you after waitlisting you? Or you rejected your waitlist spot?
They rejected me after waitlisting me 🙁 I def accepted the waitlist spot, even double-checked on the portal today to make sure I'm not crazy haha.

Dang, I’m so sorry. I hope you get into somewhere this cycle. 💞

I’m so sorry. I don’t get why they would waitlist you to then reject you. That honestly seems a bit messed up. I hope the rest of the cycle goes well for you.

Interviewing on 3/20. Anyone know what kind of questions they ask in the interview or what format?

I hope this school has good waitlist movement if everyone is getting WL

as for most schools def know why DO and why meritus/mission fit

Is accepted students day worth going to? I am just wondering because the flight is costly for me.

If this is your main/only/top choice, it might be a good chance to network, meet your peers and faculty, tour the campus and housing so you don’t get lost, and explore the area (although it’s just Hagerstown 😂). If it’s a tossup between choices, it might be worth going to see if anything affects ur decision. Could also make a trip to D.C or other sights/cities if you never been to the tristate.

If your still waiting on other schools, or if your short on cash for travel. Don’t bother, ur already accepted, it’s nothing other than a glorified tour/meet and greet. You’ll likely catch up on anything they would cover after like a week once you start. Depending on your situation, I’d even save the money to pay for other deposits if you get accepted elsewhere.

I am interested in applying, is it worth submitting the primary at this point in time?

Their primary app deadline is April 11 so if you already have an active AACOMAS app submitted it would be pretty easy to add the school

I’ll be the bad news bears. Unless you have a crazy stacked app, applying this late with the class being full and this many ppl already on the waitlist, means your chances aren’t on your side. Enough to the point where I’d even think about waiting till next year so you aren’t considered a reapplicant here.

Counter point: They haven't told us anything meaningful about how the waitlist functions so as far as we know they might look at him the same way as someone waitlisted earlier in the Fall.

Never know how adcom thinks until they tell us (which they haven't really to date >:/)

Try it & hope for the best but prep for next cycle anyhow.

I really dislike the WL's ambiguity. Anyone know anything substantive?

Both good points. I luckily have other schools I applied to and am being considered for but I was recommended to apply here bc of the nature of my app, it is really late haha, but now I'm scared of being considered a reapplicant ;-;

if you can swing the primary app fee, I'd take a shot. their deadline is later on in the spring and if you'd end up being waitlisted anyways (like most of us that interviewed January and beyond), it's better than not applying. I think the secondary fee was waived too, you can reach out to admissions about that. they're super nice and sound really eager to round out the inaugural class. I don't have any opinion on the reapplicant status though (this is not my first cycle lol)

are you receiving WL by email or portal updates/changes? my portal only shows 'interview' and I interviewed like 6 weeks ago atp

I got an email! It asked me to go on the portal and decide if I want to stay on the waitlist or not. I have a tab in the portal that says "Waitlist Offer" now.

Thank you for the reply

Does anyone have interview tips? There's nothing much on MSOM's website aside from the fact that interviews are virtual. I am a bit nervous lol

Interview was very chill and asked basic questions. Not much to prep for other than why DO/medicine, tell me about yourself, share stories of your life, etc.

They are closed file interviews so the interviewer knows nothing about you going into it. It’s only 20 minutes and super chill. I agree with everything the other user said!

just finished the interview! Very sweet and kind people who only want to see you win : ) best of luck to all interviewing today or seeking an interview! 🩷

Yeah same, Interviewed today. Great faculty and staff. The presentation is very informative. Loved meeting everyone there. Interview went by really fast.

Question for accepted students - how long til yall heard back from adcom following interview?
