Hi everyone!

I was just accepted off the waitlist and could not be more excited!!

Does anyone know if there is much movement in terms of campus assignments? I was automatically assigned to the East Lansing campus but do have the option to join a waitlist for the Grand Rapids one.

Just wondering if it's a good idea to request the waitlist in terms of finding a place to live on time and how likely it is to be reassigned or if I should just accept EL and look for places there.

If anyone has any thoughts on either campus that would be great! Originally I was leaning toward GR, but now am just happy to be accepted!
Congrats!! Are you IS or OOS?

Lowkey the curriculum at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine seems kinda all over the place at times. I’ve heard from students that there’s a ton of self teaching early on and some blocks don’t always line up well with board prep, so you end up patching gaps yourself with outside resources. Im torn about this school.
Every medical school has weird curriculums. The good thing about CHM is the fact that you do not have to continuously prepare for professor written examinations and you are pass/fail. You also get two nbme exams per semester. This is much better than the alternative at other medical schools. If you play your cards right you will start prepping for boards day 1 and not pay attention to the schools material. Other schools you do not get that luxury and you might end up failing if you try that.

I got interviewed and waitlisted in November, but still haven't received any updates...is anyone else in the same boat? I'm worried they're forgetting the people who interviewed earlier in the cycle, and since then, I've sent in an LOI after my interview, an alternate update letter, and an updated transcript this month.

No they didn’t forget. I got WL back in sept/oct (one or the other can’t remember)
