Checked all the past SDN threads and in the last 6-7 years the As always came out at midnight or in the middle of the night, not sure what’s wrong this year. The only exception is 2017-2018 where they came out on the 16th instead.

Just checking in to ask, you haven’t heard back right? Really strange that they still haven’t sent anything when it has always come out on the 15th. Even if it was a rejection I feel like based on what the dean said we should have heard something by now so that’s why I’m asking.
 
+1 OOS II, was wondering if anyone could comment on the general vibe of the interview and whether the 6 short interviews are open or closed file?

The general vibe was very friendly! They make it a point that they want you to be as comfortable as possible, and out of all the schools I interviewed at they did that the best. In regards to MMI, I think it's closed file. TBH it seems your background doesn't matter too much with the MMI, but more of your response.

is there time to read the scenario or it that included in the 6 minutes?

We can for sure confirm this upcoming Monday since they update their tracker every Monday! Usually, they report interview invites on their social media so I'd assume they would do the same for acceptances. I haven't seen anything yet. Fingers crossed, I wish the BEST for everyone : )

It was wonderful. They work so hard to make you feel comfortable. U of M's interview is definitely one of my most memorable interviews. I loved the experience, and they constantly encouraged us throughout the interview. If they were able to hug us from over the screen, they would've 😆. Be yourself. They invited you for an interview because they loved YOU, so show your interviewer what a wonderful person YOU are by being YOU. The vibes were super chill.

This is what I'm hoping!! I wish they didn't directly insinuate we would get results October 15th during the interviews, I've been stressing each day that midnight goes by with silence 😐
 
Has anyone tried emailing admissions? Something feels off…the Dean made it pretty clear As would come out on the 15th (or even suggested earlier) which is the way it’s always been every past year.

I’m waiting on a school as well who promised the week of the 15th but hasn’t done anything besides a few IS A’s. Just saying that so people know that schools could just be busy and their timeline didn’t work out as planned.
 
The other possibility I can think of is that they are waiting to send a decision for everyone who interviewed in September at the end of this month. Since they say you’re guaranteed a decision by the end of the month after you interview, maybe that could be the case? No idea though

Update!!

They are blinded to the admissions process, but "think" they should be out this week. Acknowledged they are behind the usual schedule this year, which may perhaps have to do with "considering new/exciting ways to inform applicants of acceptance" 😍

OOS A!!!!! They send you an email with a link to a video. Not going to describe the video so everyone else can be just as surprised as I was. Most certainly an absolutely one of a kind acceptance notification!

I adore this school so much!!!

Edit: interviewed 9/12, the first interview day

OOS deferred decision emailed today. I know it's not the same as R and Michigan was one of my biggest reach schools, but still sobbed when I opened it. Big congrats on the As, you are all awesome and very deserving 😍 And good luck to all those hoping for II or A!!!

Edit: II 8/12, interviewed 9/19 (will be taking a break from this thread for a bit now)

Nah nah y’all, when we were confused it was this champion right here who brought us clarity. We must ensure this deferral turns into an A!! I’m certain it will!
 
wondering if anyone received anything regarding accepting the offer (different from the commit to enroll that is in may)? For other schools, a tab on amp showed up when I got accepted to accept/reject the offer and it had a deadline, does umich have anything similar to that?

No, the follow-up email said our spots are automatically held until April 30!
