Eh you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. If you have the money I say do it but according to data reported by umich your chances are pretty slim for this school submitting this late. If you really want to go to umich I’d say go ahead if you’re indifferent I’d put the money towards a different school at this point (can even be a similarly ranked school)
Labor Day rule applies to most schools, but UMich is definitely an exception

Unfortunately, I decided not to apply to Michigan. Apparently according to their last 5 year averages, they didn’t interview a single Texan 😔
You are misreading the document. They only included the top 10 states. I’m from a state not on that document either, and received an interview in the first wave.
Oh you are absolutely right! That's on me. What is your opinion on submitting to Michigan in August alongside the fact that I am an OOS Texan? I am under the impression that a lot of schools dont prefer Texans due to us having 14 in state schools and our own application system. (Also, I’m not sure how competitive my stats would be at Michigan this late in the game and these applications have been killing my wallet).
You are lucky as a Texan. so many and lots of good schools. I haven't applied a single one due to its own app system, also no time.
If the money is a concern, I don’t know if I would pay the fee here. It’s almost September and they only interviewed a few people that submitted in September last year.

I got one two years ago, but didn't get an acceptance with the feedback of "I don't know why you didn't get in... your interviewers loved you and said you were the perfect fit."
What does the being completed early being good mean for people completed really early, who haven’t gotten an interview yet. Do they still go over our application again and it still is to our advantage we were completed early? Sorry for the word salad

Respectfully, I don't think it is worth applying to UMich this late in the season, especially with stats that far below their medians. UMich is one of the few MD schools that REALLY prioritize early applications, and even for someone with a 524 and a 4.0, submitting this late would be essentially a donation.
