Should we expect to hear decisions this Friday for people that interviewed in October? I cannot stop thinking about it; this is one of my dream schools.

I feel your struggle!! They release decisions at the end of the month after you interview, but someone would have to say if they ever release them earlier

Well they say that’s the latest you will hear, but based off of cycletrack data from last year, it seems like they typically release decisions around the 3rd Friday of the month. Just wondering if anyone can verify that.

last year was the third Friday in November… I know they said Oct. applicants would find out by the end of November but I am also hoping it’s sooner
Pretty sure they did it last year on the third Friday because Thanksgiving was early that year. They like to give decisions before the holiday breaks, typically.

you got this!! i was completely surprised by it so just goes to show that anything can happen 🙂

So I know there are still IS II that get sent out each week, but from my understanding more of them get sent later in the cycle. Approximately when is it considered late enough in the cycle that the number of IS II sent increases? Also, is it ONLY Mondays that they are sent?

I’m not sure exactly how many IS interviews are sent each week/when they increase, but the first wave this cycle did include IS. They only send them out on Mondays and each week on their Twitter/X they specify how many II are sent out and how many states!

That used to be the case but I don’t think they followed that this or last cycle. If they were to increase the number of IS II, they would be doing it now.

I feel like I should just assume that I won't get an interview at this point 😭

OOS LM ~75

Good luck to everyone!!

MD PhD has its own section on Cycletrack, but maybe someone didn’t indicate that when reporting

I also got deferred, interviewed 10/10, but I'm not surprised because I felt like this is such a reach school for me. Does anyone know if this is better than a waitlist?
A deferral is better than a waitlist! You will be reconsidered at each subsequent decision release, and if you aren’t accepted by the end of the cycle you’ll then be waitlisted.

I was also deferred 🙁 this is my dream school so I’m hoping that I will be accepted in the coming months. Sending good thoughts to everyone else who got deferred or waitlisted. It’s hard.
