I would do a third tbh. I think what got me the A in December was the fact that I sent them two letters. NW is one of the schools that really likes people showing interest. It doesn't necessarily have to be updates, could just be more of a LOI or something.

It was surprisingly laid back. I think they had 2-3 required questions then after that it was just a normal convo with your interviewer

I did! Sent one mid November after a late October interview. I almost no no updates, just let them know they were one of my top choices and gassed them up
