From my experience ^. Good luck!
87 days from today 😢 they do non-rolling admissions, so we all find out on that day together.thank you sm! 🙂 did they say anything about when we'd hear back?
thank u & @BlueLemur for the insight. was the group exercise stressful? 🙁87 days from today 😢 they do non-rolling admissions, so we all find out on that day together.
Not at all. I joined the in-between zoom session on the breaks where the other interviewees only could hang out and we just vibed and talked the whole time. By the time I had my group interview, I saw a few familiar faces and we all vibed during the group interview. It was not difficult at all.thank u & @BlueLemur for the insight. was the group exercise stressful? 🙁
i love that so much!! oh so it was more so like a group interview instead of a team building thing? that's interestingNot at all. DecemberFor those of you who already interviewed, when are you planning to either send a letter of intent or update letter?
Honestly, I need to do something worth an update first. So, probably January or late December. But I think early December would be a good time if you have done something / have a significant update. They are probably starting to look at interviewed applicants and starting to figure out who they want or at least soon. For those of you who already interviewed, when are you planning to either send a letter of intent or update letter?
I was complete 9/2, and still "under review" in the portal!Anyone complete in late August/early September catch the R yet?
On the document section of the application status tabWhere exactly did you see they uploaded the letter?
My student one was uploaded but not my faculty one! Funny though bc my faculty member mentioned they were an adcom haha so I wouldn't weigh it too much honestly and it probably is just part of protocolHi, I just recently noticed that the thank-you letter I sent to my faculty interviewer (but not student) was uploaded to the portal as a part of my file. I see in the FAQ regarding follow-up letters that they upload communications between the school and student, so I was wondering if this is just their protocol with thank-you emails as well. Silly question probably but it really caught me off guard when I saw it. At least I now know (although in a very roundabout way) that my email was actually read lol
even though mine isn’t until next month, this makes me feel soooo much betterthe interview was so lovely! very conversational and chill. loved today's group -- everyone was so sweet. 10/10 experience
100% agree, very low stress environment and made to feel like we were already worthy of being there, not having to prove ourselves but rather take the time to tell our story.the interview was so lovely! very conversational and chill. loved today's group -- everyone was so sweet. 10/10 experience
you are going to kill it! easily one of my fav interviews. they were so welcoming in all the interviews and the group exercise was not stressful at all. I believe in you. wishing you the best!even though mine isn’t until next month, this makes me feel soooo much better
I doubt it matters. I signed up for a few of them after my interview. At the end of the day I would be shocked if they even took attendance of who attended themTotally forgot about the informational sessions. Some aren't available until after my interview, and the email I got said to sign up for them before my interview. Will this penalize me? It's such a trivial question I don't want to bother the adcoms with it but do want to give my best shot for this school
I would think most, if not all, interviews have been sent for this cycle. I’d not everyone is rejected, then maybe they have some left.Anyone received interviews recently? Or are they done for this cycle?
Per the secondary portal they send IIs until early December. So few interviews left but still someAnyone received interviews recently? Or are they done for this cycle?
They were very clear in the interview session that they would be sending interview invites until early December. So don't lose hope.Per the secondary portal they send secondaries until early December. So very few interviews left but still some
I think it means all decisions on if you are or aren't gonna get an interview?Dang I was under the impression they were releasing decisions in January this whole time...just sent in my update letter I had been saving...if they're releasing post-II decisions next week not even sure if they're going to read it but thought I'd shoot my shot 😭

Thank God omg. Thanks y'all for the clarification.I think it means all decisions on if you are or aren't gonna get an interview?
Does anyone know where to submit the update letter to? I can't find it in the application portalIf you have not received an interview invite yet, and you have a big update like new publications, I would 100% submit an update.
email their admissions!Does anyone know where to submit the update letter to? I can't find it in the application portal
Her post from a week ago said 812 IIs had gone out. MSAR says 1020 interviewed in previous years. What that means in reality idk 🤷♀️🤷LinkedIn update (from Beth Piraino, 8am ET, 11/12/2024)
We continue to have record numbers of applicants to PittMed for class entering in 2025. As of this morning, 9697 applications are complete (11867 initiated). We continue to review applications completed and still have some interview spots left. Deadline for secondary applications is this Friday. All decisions regarding interviews to be sent out next week.
Look at the SDN interview page for this school as well as Shemassian (link below); the questions are standardized and don't change very much year to year, so preparing answers to them really helped me!Any advice for how those that interviewed at Pitt prepared?
It says they interview through mid/end of December and then decisions Jan 31so they send all II by next week? do they interview till early jan and release all decisions by end of jan?
+1, best of luck to everyone else!+1 OOS pre-II R
