It looks like they do, and they definitely need based scholarships.does tulane offer merit scholarships?
Interviewed 11/19, nothing yet. Not surprising, Tulane moves slow.anyone interview in mid-november and haven't heard back yet?
Do you know how it works if you're 25+ and independent from your parents? My parents do well financially but do not plan on supporting me in any way while I'm in medical school. The only money I have in savings is from what little I've saved from my low-paying job lol. Do you think I'd still be considered in terms of my parents' income? It looks like they do, and they definitely need based scholarships.
PSA since we're all independents, Tulane says they don't look at your FAFSA to determine need-based scholarships, but instead they look at parent's income and you can add that in FAFSA sometime around May when the addendum becomes available.
not sure about tulane, but i know many schools consider your parents income for need based aid regardless until you reach a certain age (around 32 ish?)Do you know how it works if you're 25+ and independent from your parents? I got the pre-II hold. My status shows "Under Review". Does this mean soft R ?Pre-II Hold 1/21
Under review 10/23
OOS, complete 8/11
That’s so weird, I got the hold but mine still says “Application ready”I got the pre-II hold. My status shows "Under Review". Does this mean soft R ?
Yep - can take 2+ months just to get an "under review" from Tulane. After that, applicants often linger in "under review purgatory" forever.Application complete in July, under review August 20 and nothing since LOL
Same for me as well. That’s so weird, I got the hold but mine still says “Application ready”
when i scheduled mine, they had interview dates into february posted. their website says II's go out through feb and "If you do not receive an invite by the first week of March, our slots are full and you will receive a rejection letter"I've been on hold since 10/26. Are they even still doing interviews?
I interviewed 11/19 and have not heard back yetAny other 11/19 interviewees not heard back yet?
Yes there areI've been on hold since 10/26. Are they even still doing interviews?
I received two within days of each other (10/23 & 10/25)Did anyone get a second "hold" email? Got my earlier one in November.
gotcha, it must be automated or somethingI received two within days of each other (10/23 & 10/25)
Yep, it's very strange to leave people lingering for months. I wish more schools would just cut bait or fish at some point and be a little kinder even if it's an R.Been under review since October 12th I don’t understand
"No news is good news," nah man, no news is STRESSFULBeen under review since October 12th I don’t understand
I looked through my emails and I sent two. One in August and another in September. Both were updates to my application with continued interested sprinkled in but nothing since then.
been under review since 11/15 so 🥲Submitted 9/2 and got the under review 1/7. Nothing since then though. Did people who got interviews get them soon after the under review email?

I was told to treat it like a soft R 😕but I just got put on hold recently so maybe different for the folks who entered the pool earlier? fingers crossed for yall!!!For people who have been on a pre-II hold for months, how are we feeling? I am losing hope atp
I really do think it's a soft R... doesn't seem like many people get off a holdFor people who have been on a pre-II hold for months, how are we feeling? I am losing hope atp
I think you have to fill out FAFSA and then under your Gibson account there is an addendum you can fill out and give details why you are asking for aid.any accepted students get the fin aid form yet?
how did you make the gibson account? can i pmI think you have to fill out FAFSA and then under your Gibson account there is an addendum you can fill out and give details why you are asking for aid.
Thanks! The first was an email and the second I uploaded to the portal.First off, congrats!! I just wanted to ask you if for your updates did you submit them to the portal or did you email them to the dean of admissions?
has anyone else not heard anything since submitting in july? not even a pre-II hold..
