Hi everyone. I am applying to Tulane this upcoming cycle with a strong application elsewhere, a 3.8 SMP GPA, and a current 498 MCAT, but I am retaking the MCAT in July and will not receive my new score until August 24.

Tulane said I can submit my already completed secondary and request that they hold my review until the new MCAT score is received. Given how rolling Tulane is, would this be the ideal path, or would it be better to allow review now and send the new MCAT as a significant update later? I plan to submit my primary early since everything is complete. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If I were you, I'd request they put the secondary on hold. Tulane really values early applications so it's kinda a bad scenario either way but at least with option 1 you've notified them so they may give some leeway. I'd also recommend asking these sorta things in next year's school specific threads

Emailed. No other information was given . they did say awhile ago that the waitlist is not ranked.

260 in Facebook and 184 in Discord though these numbers include some current students and the Facebook definitely has some bots in it as well. Also I'm not sure if everyone is joining or if people are leaving the groups when they withdraw so take them with a grain of salt ig.

I'll add that in the Discord, 8 people are upperclassmen, and there's also a couple of what seem to be duplicate accounts. I would suggest 180 as an estimate for how many T1s are actually in the Discord, but there's always the possibility that some people just haven't joined.

Class size is 190 as mentioned; AFAIK this number can't change because an accreditor must determine the max class size. I might be wrong on this though so take this info with a generous handful of salt.

If the class isn't full yet, good luck to all of you on the WL 🙂

Send an email to admin w/a screenshot of your payment (from the website or your bank) and they’ll fix it.

My guess is that any WL spots opening up at this point are very minimal, only people getting off WL's at other schools and withdrawing A's

Idk the TU-Face thing only has like 140-150 people in it so far. I know it isn’t due until Friday but it seems like there could still be a decent amount of people to pull off the WL to get to a class of 190.

Yeah, there could be people who missed the email or are planning to do it last-minute though, so I'm not sure exactly how accurate the count will be

There’s a survey to fill out on the orientation website. And then all responses are able to be seen on another tab of the orientation site. You can see all of the students in the class and some basic info/fun facts about them!
