Hello, i just got an A at wayne state, does anyone know if they provide Ipads or laptops? Or any little tech or gadgets they give the M1s as gifts? Thanks
Not sure, but I would join the admitted students groupme and ask the M1s there!

Congrats! Can I ask when you got the email and when you interviewed? Thanks!

I don’t think so. Schools that I know do that: George Washington and Belmont.

So they’re sending out emails today? Anyone else hear anything?

What does WARS in your signature, stand for?
How many clan wars I’ve fought in. Jk, it’s the Wedgedog Applicant Rating System (search the web or SDN for it). It calculates a score based on activity involvement, stats, ethnicity, and other factors to give you a score. Higher WARS = better app typically.

I signed up for the zoom meetings and attended a post-interview tour. I believe I've read in the past that they track engagement, which is furthered by the fact that you submit your AAMC id when RSVPing for tours and zoom webinars.
Well they need to make sure your status is as a legit candidate with an II and not an interloper applicant who doesn't have one.

Besides, many people share first names and last names, and there's always a chance the wrong "Jo Smith" was invited (Jo male, Jo female, Jo LGBTQ+)... at least the AAMC ID# confirms this.

We live in an analytics world. Again, these are meant for guidance but not meant for prediction purposes.

guys i just realized october 25th was a wednesday, so we might only need to wait till next wednesday which is the 23rd, maybe even tuesday if lucky

Just got an email saying my file will be reviewed in the beginning of November for decision, so not passed on, and not WL. Yay!

+1 Review in November email. Thoughts on whether this is better or worse than a waitlist at this point?

M1 here! Unfortunately no free technology :/

So happy for all these acceptances! I’m OOS applied late in cycle turned in primary October 11th, received secondary 14th and turned in my secondary the 17th. I got an email stating that my application is complete and will be moved to the review process. Any advice on possible interviews LW:54

What kind of advice are you looking for?
I submitted secondary mid August. Got an II for mid November. TBH, not very optimistic on chances seeing the number of As so far . I hope I'm wrong.

To lift your spirits, my brother interviewed with Wayne State in January 2023 (one of the few finals waves of interviews!). He got waitlisted and then moved off in early May for an acceptance. You should feel happy with yourself for earning that November interview. Good luck!

How many acceptances? Because 237 admission offers is different than acceptance on the other parties side. So, I don’t know, was just curious of y’all’s thoughts. That’s all, didn’t mean to offend✌🏽

You are right. It needs offer of admission and also acceptance from the other side.

do you think this week (near end of October) is considered TOWARD beginning of November or am I having false hopes right now lol

I would consider the 27th and on to be "towards the beginning of November." I don't think we'll hear back this week or next, though. Probably not until early November.

Sorry but what do you mean by legit feedback?
You mean you got 3 interview invites?
