How long until people that interviewed tend to head back about decisions? I recently interviewed and was hoping to have an idea of when to expect their decision 😛

Typically 4 to 6 weeks

Yeah. I received my II on 10/03, was complete 09/02.

wow thats a quick turnaround. Im glad for you. I finished 08/05 with a 511 MCAT but an abysmal science GPA (took all sciences in first two years which were also my bad academic years)

Some August interviewers, including myself, got an email stating that we will receive application decisions “towards early November.”

Looking at last year's thread it took until November 11th to hear news after interviewing in late October, so about 2-3 weeks

I heard back pretty quickly. Interviewed on 9/27 and heard back 10/17.

yeah but they never said anything about early november interview emails and also all the other dates from last years thread have been completely unpredictive of this years release schedule so im optimistic it will be before the 11th

Kid worked three 12-hr night shifts back-to-back-to back. Almost delivered a baby on the freeway morning-of, and slid into the interview with barely enough time to ditch his uniform and put his suit on. Did the whole thing caffed to the max on horchata lattes. He said the faculty interview went really well, the student interview he accidentally made the interviewer laugh so hard they had to stop for a few minutes, and the MMI he thought was only 6 out of 10. Not quite a bomb, but bomb adjacent?

So hey, if you need that extra oomph for your interviews, try amniotic fluid and horchata lattes. 😉

I’ve seen some Canadians get A’s on this thread and your stats are above their averages. Always a chance! But that is a late submission date. They still have like 500 II’s to go before they’re done though. Rooting for you!

sorry for not actually answering your question but dont canadian physicians get paid way less? what would be the reason to do this?

It is pretty accurate, in my opinion. They haven’t sent an II or A’s recently so not much to update right now.

If you completed the interview day and did the survey, there isn’t anything else you have to do (unless they specified during your interview day).
