I typically do not advocate to reach out to admissions, but this may be an extenuating circumstance as 2.5 months is much too long to be waiting for this program. If your portal is not updated and the email is not just lost in spam, I would post something in the MD general forums asking adcoms like Goro for advice.

Haven't heard anything from them; does anybody know if they still have interview spots open/if they're considering applicants?

I think by last week, they might have had less than 100 of the 1500 IIs to give out, based on their online tracker.

For any of the med students here, or anyone who may know, does WSU give gifts at the start of the year like iPads, stethoscopes, etc? Idk if I should get a new laptop or wait

In the admitted students chat it seems that the answer is no.

So do they only give decisions on Thursdays? That’s all I’ve seen people get them on.

We got a okay-ish stethoscope (not littmann) at the white coat ceremony, plus some smaller goodies (shirt, pens, meh..). Nothing else big from what I can remember unfortunately /:

I just had my interview and I wanted to send a thank you letter. Is it ok to send one letter or should I do one for faculty and another for student interviewer. Plus, is it more of an email or should I upload it to the portal?

I did one for faculty and one for student separately to their wayne emails ( i went to wayne so I found them on my wayne email), my faculty responded and student ghosted me 🤣

I sent my thank you letters as attachments. I did so through email to the admissions office so that they can forward them (I interviewed on 01/10/25, so just 2 days before this edit).

Hi guys, one brief question. I feel like I didn't do too well on my MMIs however I think I did very well on the Faculty and Student interviews, are these all weighted the same or does one weight more? based on your experience?
Also how long should I wait before a decision?

N=1 and its all subjective but felt like I crushed my student and faculty interviews, didn't do as hot on the MMIs and was waitlisted

No one will have any reliable information on this because there are too many factors involved in the app (primary, secondary, interview, etc) and every school weighs things differently. Just know you did the best you could at the time and hope for the best when news comes around.

How many people have they admitted so far? I interviewed today and I want to gauge my chances. No As yet lol.

According to their Admissions tracker, they've sent out 465 admissions offers, but I don't think its been updated for a month or so.

Wayne doesn’t strictly interview for the waitlist, but they send less A’s later in the year for numerous reasons. You got an interview which means they saw something that they thought was a good fit, so you have a chance. Either way this late in the cycle prepare to reapply until you have that A in hand.

I just received waitlist decision! Interviewed Jan.10 and completed secondary 8/3. Any idea how many students get off the wait list?
