I got Waitlisted on 12/5, no movement yet. Interview was on 11/20
For me, yes. Definitely had a sub par interview here in terms of answering questions compared to later interviews.Do the people who got waitlisted think it was because of their interview performance?
I also got a friend with decent scores who got WL and he thinks it’s his interview performance (told me he had hard time answering 1 or 2 questions).Do the people who got waitlisted think it was because of their interview performance?
Hopefully, I got waitlisted on 12/5 so hoping for some movement. Is there any WL movement after new year?
Anyone know if Wayne accepts letters of interest?
They are not gonna read thatAnyone know if Wayne accepts letters of interest?
No, schools are on break nowYou guys think they’re gonna announce another batch before January?
They accept them but what’s the point of sending it? They already know you’re interested since you applied. You’d be better off sending an update letter to show your continued interest if you’ve got significant new additions to add (publication, award, or new activity/job with 100+ hours)So they accept them, but don’t read them?
Okay perfect, I can do that. Do you think 100 hours of volunteering in addition to continued schoolwork would be sufficient for an update letter? I also spoke with alumni who are now residents and attendings from Wayne and wanted to mention that if it’s appropriate in the update letter. They accept them but what’s the point of sending it? Yes, I would say so. Additionally, if you’ve continued schoolwork definitely send them your new official transcript. Figure out if they want it through AMCAS or sent directly to their school from your program. As for alumni, you could maybe briefly mention it at the start… something like “Thank you for the time you’ve spent reviewing my application thus far, I have had the opportunity to speak with alumni from your program which has only furthered my interest in attending your program.” Then go into your updates. Don’t know if it will help but goodluck.Okay perfect, I can do that. Do you think 100 hours of volunteering in addition to continued schoolwork would be sufficient for an update letter? Are you in admission committee? It seems like u are really knowledgable about this whole process.Yes, I would say so. how do you know that's the case?I'm surprised that they are almost done sending out interviews already
They have a tracker. Currently over 1400 IIs sent and they typically send about 1500how do you know that's the case?
Next week most likely for A's and/or II's again. Doubt tomorrow but could be possible.Does anyone know active timeline of Wayne after new year?
From last year’s thread and the year before, they were giving out A’s the same week as new year’s.Next week most likely for A's and/or II's again. Doubt tomorrow but could be possible.
Yes but that was with a four day work week. Think its a stretch to say committee will meet this week, but it is possible. From last year’s thread and the year before, they were giving out A’s the same week as new year’s.
Do you think people can be dropped off WL?Yes but that was with a four day work week. Think its a stretch to say committee will meet this week, but it is possible.
If by dropped you mean rejected, yes, Wayne has rejected starting in January from WL previously. If you mean accepted, also yes. Wayne continues to look at WL applicants and compare them to the latest interviewed students throughout cycle and you can be accepted at any point.Do you think people can be dropped off WL?
No one on SDN got any acceptances in January that year and people who interviewed in Dec and Jan found out in Feb (source: me)apparently in the 2022-2023 cycle, someone reported being accepted off the waitlist on January 3rd. Which means there was movement that day. A slight chance that we get something tomorrow 🙂
last year, there was huge wave on Jan 5th.No one on SDN got any acceptances in January that year and people who interviewed in Dec and Jan found out in Feb (source: me)
I feel like we should hear something next week for sure.last year, there was huge wave on Jan 5th.
My brother in Christ, chill. People will post when they post. If you've already got an A, congrats, and just wait. If you don't, start to prepare a reapplication. Asking for constant updates makes it hard to dig through the forum and the notifications make people watching the thread think II's or A's have gone out. Personally made my own heart skip a beat.Anything yet guys?
Lol no torment, I just want to know when the next batch comes out, but just about every other post here is from them asking about WL movement or if more A's have been sent. Just check Wayne's online tracker if ya wanna be neurotic about it imoThat’s why I recommend turning off notifications for this… don’t let online folk torment you my friend. Life is good
Congrats! Did you interview on 12/18?IS A, interviewed mid-December!!!
I did. No decision yet.Congrats! Did you interview on 12/18?
